05.24.10 | the finale was a tribute to the fans. it was excellent. Sure, it didn't answer some of the questions we wanted to know about, but that was the point, some of the questions are for us to answer ourselves. The fans aren't mad at the finale, their mad their dumb asses can't figure out things without reading about them online, and they are obviously pissed that the show is over. Excellent finale if you 'get' it. |

05.24.10 | I agree with NuetralThunder. As "elitist" as it may sound, if you don't get it, you won't like it. The finale was specacular. |

05.24.10 | thanks farva, its true. Everything that SHOULD have been answered WAS answered. The rest is up to us to determine. And for all you morons who are asking what the island is, you obviously didn't understand when they mentioned it numerous times through metaphor, because you are all retarded. The only slight problem I have with the finale is 1. which universe is the 'real' one (if they aren't all real, which Christian said they were all real), and 2. I just wanted a little more this season about the history of the island. Only flaws I found this season, besides some cheesy dialogue here and there. I still have to ponder and form my own theories for a while, but I have a handle on it now that would be too long to post on a list. |

05.24.10 | The writers had no idea how to resolve it because they were just making shit up as they went along - stop reading so much into it. Lost fans make me lol |

05.24.10 | oh summernights. How wrong you are. |

05.24.10 | People who think they "get" the finale and are thus somehow special are just dense. There was nothing to get. It was so painfully stupid specifically so that the average Joe Blow American could wrap his feeble mind around it. They completely dodged having to explain anything by ending a plot theme introduced in the last season. And really, I don't care about all of the "mysteries" being solved, I just expected a good ending, not something Reader's Digest quality. |

05.24.10 | people who feel smugger than the lost fans who liked the finale for blaiming 'hollywood writers' are obviously also idiots |

05.24.10 | can I get a 'lol Lost'? |
8bit
05.24.10 | lol lost.
shh everyone the writers in their hollywood homes only did that to make you think. and all your thinking about is nothing. because its a joke. a slap on the knee. |

05.24.10 | that's what fanboys do. they dig too deeply into something which is extremely obvious, believing there's some 'deep hidden meaning' from their gods.
note I don't watch Lost so idk what happened, but it seems the tried and tested fanboy conundrum can be applied to teh situation reading the posts in all these Lost lists. |

05.24.10 | in all honesty lost trolls are just as bad as disenfranchised lost fanboys. if you truly understood the show at all you should have been absolutely astounded and moved by the lost finale. anybody that makes any snark comments about "hollywood writers collecting their paper" obviously never watched the show and never realized how much heart it had. the ending wasn't a copout, it didn't alienate fans, if you're left with any questions you should rewatch the series because all the clues are there. the writers were very careful and definitely cared deeply for their audience and as someone who has stuck with the show since the pilot i was more than satisfied with this finale.
also shut up about arrested development. as someone who watched that show from the beginning, and has rewatched the entire series no less than five times i thought it ended fine. i feel like the writers took a couple of weird gambles what with buster losing his hand, michael almost marrying a retarded women, maeby becoming a hollywood executive at 16, george senior manipulating oscar into serving time for him countless times, gob trying to fuck his adopted sister, lindsay trying to marry her brother, etc, etc, etc. i honestly don't see where else the show could go, and i really don't want to see a movie because i DON'T KNOW WHERE ELSE THE SHOW CAN GO and i don't want it's legacy to be tarnished |

05.24.10 | approximately one lost fan of 100 will tell you you dont "get" it. the writers certainly dotn try and force down people's throat that there is somethin to "get", hence ambiguity. as they said several times they write their show as entertainment first. |

05.24.10 | holy shit guys stop taking the show so seriously- positively AND negatively. It's escapist television at its finest. I'm the first to admit that it's BY FAR not the best thing on TV, but I'm also a huge fan. It's incredibly entertaining or engrossing. If you honestly think it's artistic, high-quality tv you're kidding yourself. If you think it's worthless you're kidding yourself, too. it's the perfect show to get really captivated in though, and the finale was, as proggy said, an ode to the fans through and through. I loved it. |
