02.22.13 | coffee and beer. also, read your damn textbook and write out concepts in the margins. |

02.22.13 | Wow for a second I thought I made this list without knowing it. I'm in my last semester of an undergrad BA in business and I still haven't learned how to properly study or stay motivated. Still get pretty solid grades though, ~80% avg.
Still somehow convince myself that I'll learn how to study next semester... hopefully I'll figure it out during my MBA. |

02.22.13 | I though this said studying hobbits at first. |

02.22.13 | I listen to post-rock. It's just about the most motivating music out there for me. |

02.22.13 | Gotta love how schools prepare their students for university. Also, I would question whether you study something you actually want to study and fits your skillset. Because if the latter two components are the there, motivation isn't such a big problem. |

02.22.13 | Close the internet except when quickly searching for some concept that pops up. Drink plenty of water & don't stay hungry (coffee helps, don't recommend alcohol or cigarettes). If you have shorter concentration lapses, go with the classic couple of hours of study with short 15-min intervals of break (to chill out). And if you want music, don't go beyond post-rock or jazz (maybe some mild electronica/hip hop, or post-metal for doing math).
Studying in groups once in a while is also rewarding, as long as your peers are fairly responsible. |

02.22.13 | @Wolfehorde: essentially how my program works is that I am concentrating in marketing but my course makes me take math, economics, accounting, law and finance courses also in the process. My marketing degree has very little actual marketing courses sadly, and I don't much care for half the subjects I take. |

02.22.13 | Just wing it. Fuck study and cram day before. |

02.22.13 | motivation requires that you have an interest in what you are studying. CE major and i usually study like maybe a couple hours a day maximum and then like 4-8 hours at a time to study for tests. although studying for me is two pronged b/c i have to learn the concepts and then apply them, so i'll usually pound the concept/theory into my head and try to find how it would apply to something tangible. also, coffee and cigarettes. |
Dolving999
02.22.13 | Back in high school, I used to study half an hour for each test, and I got top grades. In college, not even 20 min straight and I get by with above average grades.
Life is good. |

02.22.13 | And I absolutely second studying to Post-Rock.
Funeralopolis, holy shit dude! I am exactly the same as you haha
During the 3 years I've been studying MKT, barely 30% of the courses were about that subject. Luckily, I'm already in the last year, math courses all finished (phew!). Right now it's just International MKT, CRM Systems, IT Laws and an internship.

02.22.13 | "motivation requires that you have an interest in what you are studying"
This. I have more motivation for preparing for Uni than school (your undergrads are our grades 12-13) and I'm summarizing about 3-4 books/about ~3000 pages of information because I enjoy doing so. |
