SgtPepper 07.27.12	Oh, cool, yeah id love to know the artist. because the artwork is bloody good. I'm about to finish the album. And I said i would review it and I will in probably the next week or so. I have some family matters that are going to cause me to be absent for a while. The musicianship is great, instrumentals are impressive and the production is very professional. The vocals could be sung with a bit more feeling, but they do get the job done. Overall this album feels like a solid 4, maybe a 4.5 (the extra .5 for the growth you've shown in such short time). Can't wait to really get my head around it and review it.

I agree the vox are a little lazy and I can sing out much more and better but lol the part that kinda sux is when I recording them in my gaga the I wasn't able to go too load because of my other roommates so I had to kinda stick with my lower chest voice but for sure on the next release I'll make sure I record it in my car next time where I'll have no sound limits. But yeah I fully agree with you bro. And wow that's an awesome rating bro!

But anyway, as for the album. Yeah, its definitely one solid effort. And the vocals are actually came out pretty good, you show some good ranges (from delicate deliveries to growls). it does feel like your holding back, but you've already explained. still, as i said, the vocals are indeed good. Congratulations, on a great album, man!

CaptainDooRight 07.27.12	@ Darth - I'm a binge writer so when I start it's hard for me to stop so from beginning to end this whole whole album took about 4-5 months max. @ Paper - thanks man, yeah it was hard, he was my best friend and I'm glad I was fortunate enough to have known him for as long as I did as he taught me some really important values of life that I'll never forget. auberginedreams 07.28.12	bass is really cool. vox aren't really my favorite but it's not really that they're bad, more just not my style of singing and they don't seem to be recorded as well as the instrumentals. i'd stick to the mid-range singing too (really not feeling the baritone stuff.) but overall this is surprisingly good, the guitar, drums and bass are all great.

CaptainDooRight 07.28.12	Thanks man. Yeah that's the number one constructive critisism I've been getting. Wish I woulda recorded then without decibel restraints as well as mixing them better in with more reverb and slight delay if need be. I still have all the tracks and may remix just vox which is super easy to do, then just upload them again. That'll make them fit better but I'll have to wait till the next album to show my full singer range because my living circumstances will be different and better by then.
CaptainDooRight 07.28.12	Oh yeah sorry and as far as influences, there are many, even non related ones but some of my fav prog rock influences are: Rush, Camel, certain Caravan songs, Roy Khans vocals, Jethro Tull, Gentle Giant, Dan Swano's vocals, Nightingale, certain pieces by Beethoven, and many more.

But I'm glad you liked the music bro. yeah silent it's common for artist who write different goals to be under different names. I like my other project name but it's goals are completely different than this so I wouldn't want people to be confused as to why there are extreme differences in the two.

CaptainDooRight 07.28.12	the drums aren't programmed. Their actually partially loops and some manuel in my keyboard that I literally play each part simultaneously while recording. The company where the drum loops are from is way legit. It's an actually drummer who recorded various patterns fills you know might that I in turn arrange for the song. Might sound a little different than what you heard of but programming drums is much different. This is more a real sound that would be better described as arranging or composing the drums rather than actually playing them myself. If you wanna know the company that does it I can let you know bro.

evilford 07.29.12	Here is what I am hearing cappy Pros - great guitar arrangements, complex work at times and it's cool and groovy - very good song arrangement/structure - some good vocal sections Cons - its been said but vox do need work. But there are times it sounds like ur holding back. Don't hold back! I hear great natural tone and maybe the vox just need a little more confidence behind them, idk. At times off key but there are moments when you hit and the great voice is undeniable. Just needs a lil work and consistency I think. And also it was brought up already but the possibility of any amount of distortion/reverb. - the drum tracks at times are well placed and well utilized for the most part but there were a handful of spots where I thought the drums were randomly matched with the section they came up in. Overall though haha don't take the disparity in my cons-pros up there as indication of how much I liked this. They are actually relatively minor cons comparatively. Really solid album, I enjoyed it a lot and there's a shitload of potential here dude. Fave songs were Chasing Scepter, Gateway to that Place and First of It's Kind. It was cool, jammin, trippy and spacey and really good man. 4/5!
