|Recspecs Recs Of 2011 (Best Of)|
This list is really in no order at all. It's been a good/fun/interesting 7-8 months here on Sputnik as a user, and hopefully many more to come.
England Keep My Bones
Room To Run
The remnants of Copeland and Lydia come together to form one of the best indie-rock/pop records of the year.
I think it might be virtually impossible to hate this band.
House Of Balloons
The sexiest release of the year.
|5||Laura Stevenson and the Cans|
We Do What We Want
I thought this would be a letdown due to the fact Devin left, but I was suprised.
Would have been immensely better if longer, but still a great release.
One of the best EP's I heard all year.
|9||Florence and the Machine|
Only bested by Discovering The Waterfront.
|11||City and Colour|
I really wish Alexisonfire didn't break up, but I am more then satisfied with this.
Bon Iver, Bon Iver
Congrats on the Grammy nomination?
As Cities Burn partially returns to us in a very enjoyable EP.
How the fuck did the clean vocalist from blessthefall snag her?
|16||Portugal. The Man|
In The Mountain In The Cloud
Their best work since "The Satanic Satanist".
|17||Tyler, The Creator|
Very fun listen, although Tyler gets alot of unnecessary hype and unnecessary hate at the same time.
All credit goes to omnipanzer.
|20|| ||Chelsea Wolfe|
"House of Balloons" is slightly better, but "Thursday" still ranks among the best of the year.
"Alright, Gambino is the mastermind, fuck a bitch to pass the time"
One of the best rap/hip-hop records I've heard in years.
