Best Of : 10 Metal Albums That Kick Ass
The metal world is damn vast. My mid-2011 top 10 selection.rYES, I RUDE/USELESS COMMENTS. So just don't bother...
Tell me about a band who deserted when the were finally getting right, very right. Jazz metal in its own way.
A well-supported essay on the mechanics of anger, sadness and all around feeling of emptiness. Carter is
great at what he does, very honest and soulful in its very own way. Monolithic, massive
|3||Between the Buried and Me|
The Silent Circus
There's no need at add anything here. Camilla Rhodes forever. BTBAM will remain as gods even though
they're getting lost somewhere weird as of 2011.
|4||Bring Me the Horizon|
Count Your Blessings
You'll throw tomatoes at me, but I persist and sign : this is a solid, brutal record. A little childish, perhaps, but
that's the emblematic deathcore album by excellence, in my opinion.
Until Your Heart Stops
The creativity here keeps me entertained after 13 years. It manages to get that weight and feel you want
without feeling overproduced.
Here again, pretty much nothing to add. Insane ideas, themes and rendering.
Powerful, loud record.
|7||Embrace the End|
This album leaves me speechless. Creative solos, harsh vocals, everchanging riffs and patterns that just KILL.
Metal at its coldest and most technical. That's almost too precise, too square. The Faceless is no man but a
MACHINE. Just a little less than Indricothere.
Crack the Skye
Enormous, brooding, poetic and heavy. Very very balanced metal album.
|10||Stray From the Path|
Make Your Own History
Their sophomore album is energy-filled as many metal albums are, but it's not your usual fix. Listening to it
is like crowd-surfing on fists. Too short an album, but a hell of a ride. It just sounds different. Great
musicianship all around.
Not gonna lie, but there's some pretty diabolical stuff on this list.
Where the fuck is Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, or Axel Rudi Pell? I like some of these choices, but you forgot some important choices here.
I agree with 2, I love that album.
@Detriment : damn right!
@Ravenrock : not of my time, man, haven't listened to much to that stuff cause it just aint my vibe.
2, 3, 8 and 9 are all awesome. I also have to agree with you on 4 as well. Despite having shitty lyrics and, as you said, a childish nature, it's still pretty tight.
the grammar and albums included are lol. except 5 is dece. otherwise good list
Some good picks on here. 2, 3 and 10 especially. Although, I like the weird BTBAM a lot better then anything off of Silent Circus.
8 is amazing
some real shit on this
10 is good. 4 is unforgivable.
8 has its moments.
I love all BTBAM, but I disagree with what you say. Its a natural progression of the band no different than any other great musical act.
7 is a hidden gem. i don't know if those guys are even still together as a band but if they are heres to hoping they put out some new tunes soon.
Good call on two.
1 fo sho
ive never listened to them but isnt stray from the path melodic hardcore?
decent list besides BMTH...wtf bro
climactic : nope. Some kind of 'positive hardcore'. Pretty hardcore sometimes :)
this is a great fucking list. The Silent Circus is BTBAM's best record by far.
3 - not even close to BTBAM'S best
4 - wtf
5 - good, but there's tons of better early metalcore/mathcore you could've picked
6 - uh...okay
7 - what
8 - not metal at its most technical
9 - fine
10 - not metal
am i the only person who thinks camilla rhodes is like their worst song this list is three months
9 is the only one I've heard.
You cant win
has a badass scream
in the begninning
