09.20.12 | I know objectively 1 isn't the most technical, experimental or ground-breaking album, but Lantlôs have always really resonated with me. I loved the follow-up too, although it didn't come close to touching .neon.
If I was doing an objective 'top 10 ever' it would be entirely different, these are just my favourites, the albums I really connect with and enjoy. I just thought I'd post this to sort my thoughts out, but also in case people hadn't heard of one or two of them. Definitely worth checking out (imo, of course...)! |

09.20.12 | They're like post-progressive, which just sounds weird. They have more post-metal aspects than prog I think (except the tight, mid-range guitars... not using the 'd' word!).
Just call them good music. |

02.03.13 | 9 and 5 are fantastic, easy 4.5s and with the new rating system I'd probably go up to 4.8 or somewhere near there. 8 is awesome as well, but I really have to listen to it a few more times. 4 is pretty great too, but it wouldn't be close to my top 10 albums. |
