07.09.19 | Are the sput tags somewhat accurate? If so it looks like it'd fit nicely into my deathy-thrash binge - I'm no reviewer though | deathofasalesman
07.09.19 | Yeah, actually! I was surprised because none of the members added it to the database, and those tags suit it well.

07.09.19 | Alright it's not too long, I'll give it a spin! | Bedex
07.10.19 | So I liked this a lot dude! I like the mix of influences and the variety. It's not easy crafting a unique sound and you guys did that so props to that. My fave was probably track 2. Solid instrumentation and technique. Solid vocals too but sometimes they're not my style - when they go deathcorey mostly.
I had issues with the prod. There's one cymbal - I think the ride? - that's mixed way too high, sometimes the guitars are inaudible which weakens the bm parts a fair bit, the panning is too static, and the vocals feel like they lack low end and thickness at times. Now I'm no audio engineer and I have no clue how to fix all of that lol, for an amateur record this sounds good for sure, but that's what makes it hard to rate above 3.5 for me.
I'd be seriously interested to see what you guys do with revised mixing/mastering. | deathofasalesman
07.10.19 | Thanks for the feedback!
Our guitarist did all the recording, mixing, and mastering. It's definitely not professional but it's a solid effort for a one-man job. | Bedex
07.10.19 | Definitely impressive for a one-man job especially if it's not his profession. I think it is particularly difficult with the mix of genres the band plays. The prod has to be very dynamic to accomodate for the changes of tone within each track and that's not an easy thing to do. So props! |
