You go from one extreme to another waaaay to fast and too often. 10 min of gameplay for the debate class, 10 for the jocks, 10 for the drama club then mix them up for the greater good. Racism is bad, brutal slaughter, "oh how could you kill those people", back to brutal slaughter, step behind a register alerts police, slaughter everything in sight a bit later and nothing happens.

Where after the initial couple hallways you go to the "thematic" areas that are 100% pure rip off of ship decks from SS2. Where the "awesome" gene modded enemies all look and sound as disfigured drunk hobos?
BarryEgan 03.27.13	The beginning of BioShock is great because of the discovery/learning phase as well as the fact that you have some survival elements built in - you have limited resources and enemies early on are fairly deadly. Problem is that it then enters shooter mode quickly after and gameplay turns into a joke because you are now rolling in supplies. If the game had gone on from Medical Pavilion and kept the focus on limited resources and scrounging, like System Shock 2, I could have easily forgiven the contrived and stupid story and shoddy shooting mechanics, because then you'd at least have some tension and suspense in there.

apert 04.02.13	started the original bioshock, didn't realise that this games is half surival horror. the bit where you pick up the shotgun and the room goes black and the foggy room with the dentist made me jump like crazy

ConcubinaryCode 04.02.13	I was having so much trouble in 1989 mode until I found gear that makes you invincible on skylines. Upgrading the shield helps too. Not looking forward to that lady comstock fight though.

DamnVanne 04.03.13	Finally beat the Lady in the cemetery. I went back about a chapter and a half so I could buy the upgrades for the Charge vigor. The fight was over in less than 15 seconds.

apert 04.04.13	whenever people talk about 90s RPGs and think they're super elite, they have just played infinity engine games, baldur's gate and planescape are good the rest is just copies of those 2 games. fallout and its sequel are great games, (as are 3 and NV as well) but you can't call yourself elite for playing those games. have you even played chrono's trigger?

apert 04.04.13	the most annoying thing is how some IPs futures and bonuses for Devs is tied to metacritic scores, and also publishers have ridiculous expectations. Square Enix are calling Tomb Raider a failure in terms of sales, despite the fact it had the biggest opening weekend of the year so far

DamnVanne 04.06.13	Yessir. I'm at the final battle now, and it is even harder than Lady Comstock was before I went back and upgraded the Charge. I think there are 4 zeppelins yopu have to destroy, and I haven't even destroyed one with more than 1/3 flagship health left.
