Arcade Fire Last Night/setlist
one of the best shows I've ever seen easily. had to buy my tix the day
of because I thought I was going to have a conflict but they were still
pretty great seats, maybe 100 ft from the stage. took my gf, it was
her first concert so that was cool. lots of stuff from the suburbs, and
they really expanded the themes from the album onto the show
which was very interesting. Butler talked a lot about growing up in
Houston and stuff. He has this weird haircut that makes him look like
Hitler. Chassagne was an amazing performer. |
1 | Arcade Fire Ready To Start
Very loud guitars on this, not sure if it was intentional or if they were still
getting the sound check right. |
2 | Keep The Car Running |
3 | Neighborhood #2 (Laika) |
4 | Haiti
They really managed to expand this into a fuller song well. It built up to a climax
unlike on Funeral. |
5 | Rococo
They were very clearly hitting some of the more theme driven songs on The
Suburbs and they had background images and videos to support them. |
6 | Sprawl I (Flatland)
Slowed things down nicely. Very personal live. |
7 | Intervention
Would never had expected this but it was much better live than on Neon Bible. |
8 | The Suburbs
One of the highlights because they had a video playing of kids running around
and messing around in "the suburbs." very effectively done. |
9 | The Suburbs (Continued)
Never realized the significance of this song until I heard it played directly after
the main song. |
10 | Month Of May
Begins the four song stretch in which this show became sooooo amazing |
11 | Rebellion (Lies)
Month of May ended with blazing guitars and distortion and slowly you started
to hear the bass line come in and the crowd went nuts. up until this point they
had been really pausing between tracks to get their instruments for the next
song so to hear these two played together so organically was unbelievable. |
12 | No Cars Go
http://i.ytimg.com/vi/5Zun2WNnQ44/0.jpg this image (err looping video) was in
the background and it was really odd. kind of felt like they were trying to be
vintage or something. |
13 | Neighborhood #1 (Tunnels)
Concluded the stretch where they played my 4 favorite songs by them back to
back to back to back. |
14 | We Used To Wait
one of the weakest songs on the suburbs/weakest song live |
15 | Neighborhood #3 (Power Out) |
16 | Sprawl II (Mountains Beyond Mountains)
Chassagne was amazing on this song. she sort of danced and stuff. this and 17
were the encore. |
17 | Wake Up
Was sort of hoping they would close with Suburban War but just hearing the
crowd sing the "woahs" was pretty legit. |
