| Scion Rock Fest 2011
Show was amazing. Except for the first band I saw (Crom), every rband that I saw gave amazing performances. List is bands I was rable to see. | 5 | | Bonded By Blood Exiled To Earth
I figured these guys would be stereotypical thrash, and that's we got. They
weren't that bad, however, and the lead guitarist could really tear it up. | 4 | | Atheist Jupiter
These guys were the reason I went, and they did not disappoint. Kelly
Shaefer had great stage presence and overall did a great job. The new
bassist is insane too. | 3 | | Agalloch Marrow of the Spirit
Didn't really know what to expect from these guys, but I wasn't
disappointed. Jon Haughm didn't really seem like he wanted to be there
(since they don't like touring anyways) and didn't say anything to the crowd
except "thank you." Not really exciting but they played great. Aesop Dekker
is a beast. | 2 | | Obituary Darkest Day
Never really heard these guys before this concert, and they kicked ass.
Their set was an hour long and after a while it kind of dragged on, but this
was probably because everybody was so excited to see Morbid Angel.
Great performance nonetheless. | 1 | | Morbid Angel Altars of Madness
This band was pretty much the only reason many people were going, and
they kicked ass. Pete Sandoval was insane on the drum kit and Trey
Azagthoth's solos were pretty mind-blowing. The best part was that they
played 30 minutes longer than they were scheduled to. Overall an
awesome performance and a great way to end the night. | |
