Top 10 Industrial Songs Of The 80's
Only Skinny Puppy and NIN make the cut. They both are classic as hell and where extremely original. Skinny Puppy is truly classic so they get my pick for #1. |
1 | Skinny Puppy Assimilate
Ogre's grim vocals really stand out in this track. All the synthesizers and percussion come together very well in this song. But most of all, it is greatly distinguishable from skinny's other songs. |
2 | Skinny Puppy Glass Houses
This song is off Remission and is definitely classic. If it could be #1 too it would be. |
3 | Nine Inch Nails Head Like A Hole
This song is from Pretty Hate machine and it defines, in my mind, Nine Inch Nail's style. |
4 | Skinny Puppy The Choke
The sampling works very well in this song. There are many layers to this song and the synthesizers are very dramatic along with the vocals. |
5 | Nine Inch Nails Sin
Progressive opening leads into good percussion and vocals along with many great synthesizer effects. |
6 | Skinny Puppy Smothered Hope
From Remission again. Simple beat mixed with great vocals and pulsating effects. |
7 | Last Call
Just something about it. Again a very layered song by Skinny Puppy. I especially like 1:05 - 1:12 |
8 | Worlock
Good sampling, works well with overall style. Along with many other things. |
9 | Nine Inch Nails Down In It
Catchy and simple. Trippy music video too. |
10 | Skinny Puppy Manwhole
Lastly manwhole off Remission. It is very dark/spacious, however it has an abrupt end. |
