04.05.11 | ^I've gotten a good amount of books free, best sellers actually for free but full on pirating is somewhat difficult yet. |

04.05.11 | pirating books for kindle is easy as fuck. most books you would have any reason to want to read can be found online if you know where to look. kindles are must-haves for anyone who likes to read imo. |

04.05.11 | I have to read manuscripts for work, and the kindle is reeeeeeeealllll nice for that. Eye strain is no worse than reading and actual book, man I cannot stand reading full books on my desktop or laptop. I have no need for an Iphone or some such and back lit screens are shit for reading after staring at a drawing board all day.
I can take it with me anywhere and make notes on the manuscripts as I go. So pretty much I can just roll with my kindle and my sketchbook. I don't need to haul along my laptop or some such.
In the end though Bundle is right. When I can I read an actual book, nothing like the feel of the paper between my fingers, and the smell of the ink. |

04.05.11 | yeah what's cool about the kindle app tho is that when you're not reading you can also use it as your cell phone so pretty much I can just roll with my sketchbook. I don't need to haul along my kindle or some such. |

04.05.11 | @theacademy: Yeah. I've been tempted to grab an iphone, but I just can't deal with the obligitory data plan. If I could get an iphone and only pay when I download apps and the like the I'd likely grab it. I was thinking about rolling with an ipad but in the end I can slip the kindle and my sketch book in my coat pocket or my wifes purse and fit in work time whereever I go.
Besides my dickbeaters are so thick they tend to fumble around on the iphone when i've tested them. |
