| Snowed In = Excuse To Do Nothing
Got hit hard with about 10 inches of snow here in NJ. Sad part is is that I have to work tonight and since Im at a restaurant, Ill either get sent home early or painfully sweat out 6 hours. Anyway, it was nice seeing the snow fall last night, so here was my soundtrack to it. | 1 | | Funkadelic Cosmic Slop
This is great summertime music, but since it was snowed in, it was nice to groove out while smoking inside. | 2 | | Radiohead Kid A
This album is absolutely essential for wintertime. It doesnt have the same effect if you play it in the Spring or the Fall. As of right now, my town looks like the cover. | 3 | | Nine Inch Nails The Fragile
I've been spinning this album hard lately. Ive come back to it after a couple of years and only now am I seeing the absolute genius inside of it. This is most likely their best album imo. | 4 | | Prince Black Album
Usually when Im in a bad mood or just plain all-around bored, I spin some Prince to lift my spirits, and this album certainly comes in handy. Rock Hard in a Funky Place, yo! Prince = Our Generation's Mozart, ya heard? | 5 | | Q-Tip The Renaissance
Just bought this recently and I love the shit out of it. Reminds me of Tribe, seriously. | 6 | | Depeche Mode Black Celebration
Cant have a snowy day without a little DM. This album is dark as what, and it was fitting to hear it while watching the violent snow. | 7 | | Opeth Ghost Reveries
Playing this last night while running errands before being snowed in. Aint nothing like hearing The Grand Conjuration as your about to slide into a curb. Also since at this point my car was snow-capped, the music had no reverb so the speakers were super powerful. Man it was nuts! | 8 | | Down Down III: Over The Under
After Sputnik's hack, I had to re-submit my review for this, so it got me in the mood to spin it. What a pulverizing record, and quite possibly the album of 07! | 9 | | Faith No More King For A Day, Fool For A Lifetime
Anybody else as super-excited that this band is coming back? Ahh I love these dudes more n more every time I hear them. Most underrated band of all time? Mayyyyybe. | 10 | | Pink Floyd Meddle
Since I have an upstairs deck at my house, I got to sit down and watch the snow fall. Beautiful thing to see, especially while playing "Echoes", and smoking some greatgreen! | |

03.02.09 | how is 1? i really like their album Maggot Brain. 2,6,7,9,10 rule as well | kygermo
03.02.09 | 1 is excellent. its the album right after edie hazel left and it shows, but the songwriting is top-notch. personally, id say i like it more than maggot brain. in all honesty, you cant go wrong with any funkadelic from the 70s at all. | jrowa001
03.02.09 | sweet! i'll have to pick it up sometime. 70's funkadelic is awesome indeed. Curtis Mayfield and Willie Hutch ftw |
