| Underappriciated Bands
A list (imo) of bands that have been overlooked or do not get enough credit as they should already | 1 | Wolf Parade
With their odd array of noises, sounds, and the singer sounding like a yoddlist on occasion, it's pretty unique and orginal stuff compared to some of the more generic stuff that comes out regularly. plus they're canadian egh | 2 | I Am Kloot
Though as cheery as it may sound most the time, these guys have some good material that they put out. what definitly got me in to them was "Avenue of Hope" and it just blew me away to want more and why they weren't more defined on the music scene | 3 | Editors
Editors are going the direction that Interpol should've gone, their sophmore album clearly more defined and still i ask people "editors are where indie is" and people give me blank expressions...so sad... | 4 | Vedera
The one thing that keeps drawing me to this ban dis the vocalist and her amazing voice and that fact that she actually does more then just sing and looks pretty. Plus the echoing guitar work is refreshing to hear | 5 | Professional Murder Music
I forgot how I came across these guys years and years ago, but they made some decent music for the time they were around. Little bland on some cases, but I think they should've gotten a little more of a chance with the higher ups in industrial | 6 | Black Mountain
I saw these guys live when I went and saw Coldplay, and it was a complete amazment that a band w/ a 70's-feel kinda rock were opening for Coldplay. The album kinda holds back on their real potential, b/c live these guys rocked my face off | 7 | Band of Horses
it's good | 8 | The Verve
Considering they've had some good sucess, I still think that they deserve a little more credit compared to other acts of their time. They made some pretty deep/emotional stuff with Urban Hymn, and I felt like I was the only excited person when they got back together | 9 | The Weepies
It's pretty much Iron & Wine, and i'm sure through more word-of-mouth they could catch up | 10 | Bat for Lashes
Natasha Khan is an amazing artist, she tries and set herself apart from other female artists with her 80-synth-pop sound that doesn't sound...well, bland | 11 | British Sea Power
Indie/Folk I say is one of the harder genres to get in to, only real band thats made it easy is My Morning Jacket, but I think BSP has a great/fimiliar sound to them that should be making people interested | 12 | The Used
I'll probalby get some "WTF" kinda responces, but hear me out. I honestly believe the Used should be getting more credit compared to other semi-pop-punk bands. The Used have honestly tried to keep making some less-radio-friendly sounds compared to others like Good Charolette or Papa Roach. I think they really do need a little more credit for tryin to break away from the norm...but that's me | |

05.04.09 | I mostly agree with you for 12, but I really see them taking those radio-friendly steps on their latest work. Their first album is a pop-punk classic though. | NOTINTHEFACE
05.04.09 | dude I totally didn't see 9. I'm pretty sure you and I are the only two people who listen to them on this site, but they're really great. Mega props. | AliW1993
05.04.09 | 3 and 8 are good. The singles from Urban Hymns are incredible. Unfortunately the rest of the album isn't as good imo. | bloc
05.04.09 | i think 8 suffers from being in the "one hit wonder" category. and for 12, i really think they've gone downhill since their debut. | Knott-
05.04.09 | 2 - fantastic, monsters is awesome
3 - looking forward to their new one, love end
11 - DYLRM is brilliant | SeaAnemone
05.04.09 | props for 1,7, but 3 is pretty meh for me | MusicinaBox
05.04.09 | i agree w/ you 100% for 12, but their older stuff was a little bit better IMO. | Yotimi
05.04.09 | Yes to 7. "Funeral" is one of my fave songs ever. I also agree that 12's debut was good, but everything else has been awful. Been meaning to check out 10. | Athom
05.05.09 | Veda/Vedera are soooo good. | mothergoose
05.05.09 | Nice list. The Weepies singer Deb Talan also has a lot of good solo stuff as well... but you have to really like her voice to enjoy it since it's just her. | endlessartix
06.20.09 | 6 - heck yes |
