In honor of their newest album being excellent.

28Slob
27Cleopatra
26Surf Wax America
25Undone (The Sweater Song(
24Falling For You
23Pork and Beans
22Keep Fishin'
21Unspoken
20Tired of Sex
19Dope Nose
18Butterfly
17The Greatest Man That Ever Lived

I can't take this song completely seriously, but it never fails to put a smile on my face.
16The Futurescope Trilogy
15Pink Triangle
14Foolish Father
13Hash Pipe
12Eulogy for a Rock Band
11My Name is Jonas
10Ruling Me

My ocular NERRRVE went pop-zoom.
9Buddy Holly

Buddy Holly works better with the classic video, but by itself it's still pretty much the
perfect pop song.
8Burndt Jamb

The strongest track on Maladroit is also one of the oddest Weezer tracks; largely funk
influenced and with a jamming guitar riff for a chorus.
7Da Vinci

The chorus is so charming and catchy. Calling it as their next single.
6The Angel and the One

The fact that the closing track on the Red album is one of Weezer's strongest tracks
only further brings to light how terrible most of the rest of the album is.
5The Good Life

Leave it to Rivers, on the most personal of Weezer's album, to write the catchiest and
most upbeat song about perhaps the most personal of his issues.
4Only in Dreams

Only in Dreams is nice enough for the first five minutes with the slow chugging bass of
the verse and the wailing distortion of the chorus, but it isn't until the grandiose
buildup in the coda that the cut reaches legendary status. Eight minutes is a bit long
for a track that doesn't do anything groundbreaking with its form, yet it doesn't once
feel as if it is dragging; rather as something that is working towards a bombastic
climax.
3El Scorcho

The weirdest fucking choice for a lead single, and somehow the most fitting choice
coming from the wonky emo of Pinkerton. The double-time bridge is a brilliant
complement to the verse and chorus.
2Say it Ain't So

The opening guitar riff is iconic. Scratch that - the entire song is.
1Across the Sea

Pinkerton in general evokes very raw and visceral emotions, but none of the tracks
quite reach the emotional zenith that Across the Sea establishes halfway through the
album. The chorus in and of itself is an emotional force, but the real high-point of the
song is the burst of anger in the bridge and the full-band harmonization leading back
into the final chorus. Beautiful.
