My Fav Guitar Tones/production

So I've been trying to find my perfect guitar sound ever since I picked up the guitar. These are my favorite guitar tones that I have been trying to achieve. I like thick high gain sounds, but also sometimes like the classic Marshall dist sound. Here we go :P
1Devin Townsend
Accelerated Evolution

My favorite guitar sound/production is found on Devin's classic, Accelerated Evolution. The sound is thick and greatly saturated but EQ'd in a way that is slightly heavy but again not scooped or muddy. The easy way to describe it would be a Pop Metal sound. Devin is famous for his "wall of sound" style production which shines on tracks like Deadhead and Slow Me Down.
2Nevermore
Dead Heart In A Dead World

Now after I'm done fooling around with Rock/Punk I love to crank the gain on my amp and I wish i had the ability to dial in Jeff Lommis' tone. His tone is just completely heavy, in your face and drool worthy. The sound is precise, shimmery, and almost mechanical. Listening to the solos and harmonics on songs like The River Dragon Has Come and Evolution 169 make me just wish I could steal all his gear and have that sound in my room.
3Megadeth
Rust in Peace

This album has very distinct guitar and overall album production that I am particularly fond of. Being a great mix of Treble and Mid-range without being completely scooped the sound has tons of gain and heaviness without being overly chuggy or muddy.
4The Flatliners
The Great Awake

At first listen you might think of just a typical generic Marshall JCM sound, but it's the layering of both guitarists with their tones that make the production on guitars really shine. The palm muting in Eulogy, and the clean guitars' bounciness in This Respirator is what I really love to hear.
5Against Me!
Searching for a Former Clarity

Before New Wave's over-produced, poppy sound, there was the raw naturally saturated guitar sound of Searching For A Former Clarity. The opening track Miami showcases the tone very well when the first chord is played. The notes ring out in an eerie dissonant way, this is what makes me love the guitars on here.
