Led Zeppelin albums ranked

Basically the title lol
1Led Zeppelin
Led Zeppelin IV

Just a perfect combination of all their styles up to this point; everything comes together quite nicely here. The guitar riffs from Jimmy Page are very innovative and brilliant with John Bonham absolutely thundering away on the drums. Jones' Basslines are groovy as well and Robert Plant was on top of his lyricism here and the second place album.

Physical Graffiti

The ultimate Hard Rock marathon with a fantastic array of diverse styles and arrangements showcasing their musicianship perfectly. Lots of their best songs are here such as "The Rover", "In My Time of Dying", "Kashmir", " Ten Years Gone", among others. John Paul Jones' groovy keyboard work is out of this world and its no wonder it's ranked among their best albums usually. Plus Robert Plant's lyricism is very heartfelt at times and extremely creative, reaching its peak on songs like the aforementioned "Ten Years Gone", "The Rover", and "Night Flight". Even songs such as "The Wanton Song" can be enjoyed when you get past the occasional weird pitching up of Robert's vocals.

Led Zeppelin II

The bands' first masterpiece, lots of creativity here and it laid the groundwork for both Hard Rock and eventually Heavy Metal, you could technically count this album as Proto-Metal. The lyrics may suffer sometimes but the sheer genius and artistic brilliance in the compositions more than make up for them. It's just one jam after the other with this album!

Led Zeppelin III

A very overlooked and underrated record in their discography probably because it's sandwiched between the awesome Led Zeppelin II and their magnum opus. The acoustic guitar work is quite nice and the album features Plant's first great lyrics on songs such as "That's The Way", "Out On The Tiles", "Immigrant Song", and the vocal performance showcasing his incredible dynamics of his range and blasting out pure emotion on "Since I've Been Loving You". Sadly this album ends with "Hats Off To Roy Harper" which is a godawful song with terrible mixing, dull uninspired lyrics, and a bad vocal performance.

5Led Zeppelin
Houses of the Holy

Near masterpiece album with many great songs and the only one where everything is completely original; there's not a single cover here either! John paul Jones really shines through with his keyboard work here and Bonzo's drumming is as good as ever. "The Rain Song" is one of the most beautiful songs to ever c ome out of the rock genre while songs such as "The Ocean", "No Quarter", "Over The Hills and Far Away", and "Dy'er Mak'er" showcase the bands forray into other styles. Unfortunately this album is brought down slightly by the weird pitching up of Robert Plant's voice which takes away from some songs and the terrible song "The Crunge".

Led Zeppelin

very influential and a great listen but its mostly covers or rearrangements of songs not really credited to the original artists, it features the most amount of plagiarism which is pretty disgusting honestly and stylistically still sounds like a premature band trying to find out what style they want to take their music. "I Cant Quit You Baby" does NOT fit on the album and sticks out like a sore thumb and it is a cover, "You Shook Me" is also a cover, "Babe Im Gonna Leave You" is also a cover, "Dazed and Confused" is phenomenal but is outright stolen, "Black Mountainside" is outright stolen from "Black River Side" and also sounds like shit out of tune guitar and a boring repetitive plain drumbeat. Its one of the best debut albums of all time, definitely, and its a slightly-above-good album. Led Zeppelin II has some too but much less and it is where they found their style.

7Led Zeppelin
In Through the Out Door

Bad album with some chaotic instrumentals and it sounds as if the band is falling apart. John Bonham and Jimmy Page were unreliable during the sessions leading to a jumbled mess of styles that don't quite mix, inconsistent tracklist that lacks cohesiveness. Though there are about three good songs here so it's not godawful.
