Been Listening To
1The Grateful Dead
The Grateful Dead Movie Soundtrack

I still haven't gotten off of my grateful dead kick, I listen to them probably 10x more than any other band
2Grant Green
Idle Moments

The title track is amazing... 15 minutes of laid back, in the pocket jazz. Grant Green is a fantastic guitarist.
3Tom Waits
Orphans

My favorite album of 2006
4A Tribe Called Quest
The Low End Theory

WHAT IS A FAT MAN WITHOUT FOOD IN HIS GUT
5Broken Social Scene
You Forgot it in People

This album is outside of what I usually listen to, but the first four or so tracks are fantastic, especially almost crimes.
6Freddie Hubbard
Straight Life

Freddie is a beast on trumpet and the band he has backing him up isn't half bad either! Highly recommended!
7Blue Oyster Cult
Secret Treaties

A very fun album that I still manage to bust out every now and then. Even though it doesn't have don't fear the reaper or godzilla, this is still BOC's best album.
8Leo Kottke
One Guitar, No Vocals
9Ten Years After
Recorded Live

An excellent live album by a band that often gets overlooked. If you like 60's blues rock, check this album out!
10 Jim Hall
Concierto

A friend of mine lent me this album... awesome jazz guitar that I never would've heard otherwise. I think it's out of print.
11Joe Pass
Virtuoso

You'd better be good if your debut album is called virtuoso. Joe Pass is incredible.
12B.B. King
Live at the Regal

In preparation of seeing the King live I went through some of my live cd's of his. He still puts on a great show at 82. I'd pay 30 dollars to hear him play one note.
13The Beatles
Abbey Road

I haven't listened to the Beatles much lately, probably because of the stupid grateful dead
14 The Grateful Dead
1973

I've been working my way through every live concert the dead played in 1973, one of their very best performing years
15 The Grateful Dead
more grateful dead

but, I've also been listening to tons of shows from 69, 71, 72, 74, 76, 77, 81 and 84 lately! Right now I have a total of 2,607 grateful dead tunes on my hard drive.
