I Saw Lisa Loeb

I know that many of my fellow Sputters would find this to be at best boring and at worst a night in hell, and that no one is trading in their black metal for folk anytime soon. Be that as it may, I had an unexpected night off, so I caught a Lisa Loeb solo concert at a venue I particularly like tonight. These were her best songs, in no particular order.
1Lisa Loeb
The Very Best of Lisa Loeb

"Stay (I Missed You)"

This was her biggest hit, but weirdly enough, it isn't on any of her studio albums. This is because it became a #1 hit without her having a record contract at the time. It was actually on the "Reality Bites" soundtrack album. It got there because she was friends with Ethan Hawkes, who passed it along to Ben Stiller, who liked it.
2Lisa Loeb
Firecracker

"I Do"

This was her second biggest hit. She performed it tonight as the last song of her regular set.
3Lisa Loeb
Cake and Pie

"Everyday"

Never heard it before, but it was my favorite song of the night. It almost sounded like a sea chanty.
4Lisa Loeb
Firecracker

"Truthfully"

This one was also pretty good live, although I have to admit that "Firecracker" is the only Lisa Loeb album I owned prior to tonight, and I didn't remember this song was on the album until I looked it up after the show.
5Lisa Loeb
Firecracker

"How"

Same story as above. Either I never really gave this album a fair listen, or these songs are much better live than they are recorded.
6Lisa Loeb
Camp Lisa

"The Disappointing Meatball"

She's done several children's albums over the years, and there were some kids in the audience tonight, so she did a few for them too.
