luci 12.18.18	Sure is slept on, EP is worth checking just for that tune
rabidfish 12.18.18	good list overall, mate look of love is a killer track, but those first 30 seconds really don't do it any favors.
theBoneyKing 12.18.18	Yeah the whole EP didn’t stay with me a ton but “Sure” is a beaut of a dream pop tune that doesn’t forget about the pop. Rabid, that’s my least favorite part of the song for sure but I love how it builds up and overall it’s my fave on the album.

This is my first SOTY list, I’m usually so album-oriented that it’s hard to remember/pick out my favorite songs overall separate from my favorite albums but this was the first year I had a running playlist of favorite songs throughout the whole year which both helped me connect with some individual songs more greatly and made the listmaking easier since most of my fave songs of the year were already in one place to cull this out of. Accordingly the list weights songs that warrant individual listening (also it’s one per artist) so it’s not 100% my top 40 tracks of the year (for example my favorite track on the Anna von Hausswolff album is NOT the one listed here but the one here works better as a solo song).

Archelirion 12.20.18	I'd say The Mysterious Vanishing of Electra kinda overshadows the rest of that album but holy SHIT what a song. Definitely a top 5 of the year for me.
