12.28.14 | Just gonna shoot off some personal favourites
2Pac - Greatest Hits (best place to start with Pac and maybe hip hop in general, and the best overall collection of his music in my opinion)
A Tribe Called Quest - Midnight Marauders (really classic vibes, their The Best Of collection would also be a good start with them)
Mos Def - Black on Both Sides (another classic that you just gotta listen to if you're wanting to get more into rap and hip hop)
Danny Brown - Old (my favourite recent rap album, which follows an interesting concept that showcases Danny Brown's past and struggles, and then contrasts it with the extreme party life that he's living today)
Jazzyfact - Lifes Like (This album comes from Korea and I know lyricism is a hugely important part of rap music, but even if you don't understand the language this album brings some amazing jazzy beats, and combined with rapper Beenzino's confident style it makes for great vibes and a really enjoyable listen)
Jay-Z - Reasonable Doubt
Kanye West - The College Dropout
Nujabes - Modal Soul
Freddie Gibbs & Madlib - PiƱata
Ab-Soul - Control System |

12.28.14 | Album that got me into Hip-Hop was "Alopecia" by WHY?, which is a blend of indie-rock/folk with hip-hop flows. Definitely worth checking out imo |
