The Violent Sleep of Reason
By far the AOTY for me. Even if they didn't change much their formula, it's just amazing for me how these guys keep their heaviness and complexities after all these years. And the fact that this was recorded live in the studio just add even more value to the record. | | 2 |  | David Bowie

Transcendence
This is, probably, the greatest synthesis of the whole DTP sound. It's not his best album, but still a very, very good one that could be one of the best "starting point" for whoever wants to roam the gigantic catalogue of Devin Townsend. | | 4 |  | Gojira

The Madness of Many
Kinda disappointed by this. Loved Joy of Motion, but this seemed kinda soulless to me. Still tracks like The Brain Dance save up some great moments. | |

12.11.16 | I like the list but really have to disagree with 1 and 5. This was Meshuggah's least original work to date by far and although In Flames most recent two albums have been trash, Atoma isn't very good either. It gets pretty generic in places too and has much less emotion than even other recent DT. I need to check 6, though I might do that today. | Danred97
12.11.16 | I quite enjoyed 1 and 5. Not top 10 albums to me, but damn they are good. No matter how hard I try, I can't get into 4 that much. Aside from a couple of songs, it sounded a bit dull. | elliootsmeuth
