Umm idk honestly, probably because it was super rushed. I wanted to get the album out as quickly as I could do I rushed through making the songs and threw whatever music I made in a week onto the album without much thought at all so the result is just a complete mess. Also a lot of the songs on that album came out really dull, quiet and weak-sounding because I made every instrument too distorted. I immediately worked my hardest to fix all these problems on my second LP though so releasing a shit album was worth it I guess. |

11.01.15 | I always feel the same way about writing, so maybe it transfers into music also. Like i'll be really happy with a article or short story I wrote but 2 months later I'll look at it and cringe and see mistakes and improvements to be made. It's probably a side effect of developing a skill, being able to reflect and critique your own work. Of course you could always revisit/remake your old tracks, just like I often go back and edit/revise my writing. |

11.01.15 | I get what you are saying Snide and I think its pretty normal as well. I look back at my first few albums and can spot quite a few weaknesses in terms of production and the general tracks themselves, so I tend not to go back to them as much as my recent songs. But, I see them as stepping stones towards creating my own sound and appreciate them for how it shows progression from when I started to record to now, its natural to improve the more you record and try out new ideas. |

Mostly toward my first Volcanic Queen album. Sometimes even though you get better at making music as time goes on, there's something about creating a song or album during a particular moment that you can never really capture again. |

11.02.15 | I made a shitty EP by myself in my basement 2 years ago. Lyrically, I hate most of the stuff I wrote, but most of the music ideas I still enjoy. I'm in an actual band now and we play one song off that EP that everyone seemed to love, and that song I'm really proud of.

11.02.15 | One of the most important pieces of advice I've received as a writer (and the credit goes to Stephen King's On Writing. If you are any sort of artist you need to read that book) is that after something is "complete" to put it aside for a couple months. Don't publish right away and instead give yourself time to develop a perspective outside of your original one. If you throw things out the moment the first draft is done of course you're going to be biased to it. You won't see the flaws because of the emotional investment. |

11.02.15 | I mostly hate my music now cause the guitars ruin everything, hope buying a new guitar plugin will fix it but that's mainly why i hate my music. Production is the factor that ruins my song, I love my compositions though... Sometimes when I rush a song it sounds like shit and I do it over but I haven't made a song that I really hate or dislike and just want to cut from the record... I guess that's pretty wierd too.

The only song I fully reworked was my Castle of Glass remix. It was the first song I ever made so it makes sense to totally redo it since I had no idea what I was doing at the time, but it still had great ideas that I kept in the song |

Get BIAS and BIAS FX. I guess I'm the exception here as I tend to enjoy quite a lot of the stuff I make. My whole mantra I guess is 'what do I want to hear?" and just go from there. Obviously if I look at my previous material there are things that could be improved and/or changed but I would never put out music I'm not proud of. |

I don't play guitar, all the stuff on my albums is midi and the clean guitar just sounds like bullshit, I tried other virtual amps on Victimized but it doesn't fix it. Shreddage II sounds very realistic and is pretty cheap! I hope it will improve my production, I'm proud of how everything sounds but the guitars just ruin it... |
