07.04.22 | Had 2 Gat Ya and 24 Deep we're childhood favorites from that Lynch album! Discovered him and C-BO by finding that EP and a CBO CD on the ground at a car wash in my town when I was like 8 years old. The lyrics to those two Lynch songs are permanently embedded in my brain for eternity lol |
Lord(e)Po)))ts

Deez
07.05.22 | heheheh more bone |
Lord(e)Po)))ts
07.05.22 | Bone me baby, creepin is the only alb I’ve spent time with yet
I’ve been on a kick filling in the holes in hip hop artists I likes discogs (at least all their 80s, 90s and some 00s stuff if it looks like it won’t suck) and listening to classics and essentials that I’ve overlooked for one reason or another. Creepin is one of the latter where I just never checked them out until recently without any real reason |
Drifter
07.05.22 | ooooh well definitely check e 1999 eternal and art of war those are also both classics. art of war is probably in my top 3 most listened to hip hop albums. if you really start to dig them then resurrection is also a really great album and faces of death is a pretty great lo fi underground midwest hip hop album that people kinda overlook because of what they went on to do
bizzy bone's first 4 albums (heavenz movie, the gift, alpha & omega, speaking in tongues) are essential. his first 8 or so are all super sick to me but i am a die hard bizzy fan - at least for his material up to 08 or so. all his albums up until 06 got more and more weird and esoteric but he's fucking awesome. no one wears their heart on their sleeve like bizzy man thats what i really love about him. his mental state was fucked during those early to mid 00s and you can hear it in the music.
krayzie's album thug mentality 1999 has crazy replay value and is one of the best double albums in hip hop its so fucking good. might seem a bit monotonous at first but further listens are rewarding. |
Lord(e)Po)))ts
07.05.22 | Kk I’m all over it |
Drifter
07.05.22 | also just some further emphasis that bizzy is in my top 5 so i could be a little off and his stuff might be growers or they might suck but i love that dude. interestingly he doesnt really stand out much in the group aside from being the high pitched one. krayzie is the real star of *every single* bone thugs album. anyways i fucking love bone now get into the game and we can be besties |
Lord(e)Po)))ts
07.05.22 | Gonna start with the gift and e1999 cuz they on Spotify but damn a lot of that stuff isn’t. Spot let’s me down with hip hop too often.
Also lol k I’ll try the documentary one more time |
MetalMarcJK
07.05.22 | Today seemed like a Jazzmataz Vol 2 and Fu-Schnickens kind of day with some Eric B and Rakim thrown in for good measure. Thanks for the prompts, Po)))ts. |
Drifter
07.05.22 | are you even really a fan of newer /sounding hip hop? cause what got me into him was doc 2 and jesus piece is also really good. i could understand not liking him but i love him lmao
also yeah i forgot a lot of stuff isnt on spotify. ive got all the bone i mentioned on cd and on my apple music so i forget. i imagine you use soulseek or smth tho? if not i could share them with you thru google drive |
Drifter
07.05.22 | gift is really sick. bizzy's lyrics are so good |
Drifter
07.05.22 | hope you enjoy the bone. im obsessed with them |
Lord(e)Po)))ts
07.05.22 | Np 🤘Mark
I have slsk it’s just that my primary new music time is at work streaming from my phone so spot is just the most convenient and I get around to albums I’ve saved on there a lot quicker than anything I download on my comp
Depends on what style of newer hip-hop. I’m not a fan of the direction popular music went for the most part in the 00’s, including rap and r&b. But there’s plenty of more underground 00’s and 10’s stuff that I enjoy |
Ryus
03.08.23 | 82 is iconic |
