Sinternet 11.22.17	i like it, got a nice oathbreaker-meets-explosions-in-the-sky style to it i think most of the problems come from the production which of course having studio time and professional recording would help a lot - as it stands the drums need to be a lot cleaner and hard-hitting, the tinny sound doesn't really work in this style, and the bass and guitar need to be punchier and richer in tone, so basically stuff that not being a demo would likely solve to some extent but worth remembering anyway the only things i'd say about the actual song are these: 1) I think it could be longer - after where the song eends atm, having a momenty of silence and then bursting back into the section from 1:24 - 2:40-ish would give it a much more satisfying conclusion 2) the intro up to 1:24 just soundss a little empty atm and could work better with another element at the same time 3? I appreciate the instrumental idea but some form of vocals or spoken word could be that element that's missing, and would work well within the genre anyway good start and good luck, feel free to trust someone more knowledgeable than me instead

artiswar 11.22.17	You know I always thought you were just a troll Sinternet but you're alright... I appreciate the feedback. The drums are sampled as I don't know a reliable drummer, and there actually is no bass guitar, I'm playing rhythm on a 7-string to simulate bass. As for vocals, I've been looking at different styles and I have a version with black-metal screams and a version with female singing, but ultimately I'm not happy with either. I think I just prefer making instrumental music for now. Thanks for taking the time to listen and critique dude. Also I've been listening to Oathbreaker and Explosions too, so you're eerily dead on there.
Sinternet 11.22.17	i'm only 75% a troll you know i didn't actually recognise that wasn't a bass which either shows i'm dumb or you did a good job have you looked for session drummers in your area at all? i would assume so but being samples the drums sound pretty flat and unnatural, would be worth maybe taking a chance on someone to lay down that part and then you can decide which to use i think black metal screams could work if done right, but i couldn't see female singing as working here so yeah, i still think a spoken word piece would help, maybe lay down some lyrics and see how it sounds regardless, if you don't want any vocals at all try to think of another element yoou can work into the track to make it seem fuller - fx, samples (you could always find some public domain audio recordings and work them into it), maybe some other kind of instrument going on, who knows
artiswar 11.23.17	I've been negotiating with different drummers for the better part of a year and they all either lack the equipment/recording space/or time to contribute. I'm hoping once I record the guitars in the studio, I can swap the drum samples out for live drums when that opportunity arises. Spoken word is an interesting idea but it's historically not received well. My buddy keeps telling me not to release this stuff without vocals and I disagree but you're reinforcing his point of view so I'll take that into consideration. Personally I like minimalist/instrumental type stuff.
