| Kanye ranked | 1 | | Kanye West Late Registration
Those good old days when Ye still seemed somewhat relatable. By leaps and bounds, the lyrics and storytelling on here are the best of any of his albums.
The soul and funk influences are colorful and just incredibly fun to listen to. | 2 | | Kanye West My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy
Once his career his over, this will probably be looked back upon as his signature album, and rightly so. From a production standpoint, this is certainly his most impressive and most cohesive record.
Most of the features on here are excellent, and add a lot of stylistic diversity to the album. | 3 | | Kanye West Yeezus
For a guy who can be so abrasive and combative with his public persona, it was sort of odd that of all of his albums before Yeezus tried so hard to crowd-please.
Yeezus is his only album so far which gives off the impression that the man truly doesn't give a fuck. It's his only album that comes close to being as confrontational and unbalanced as Kanye himself is.
In that sense, for all of its flaws, Yeezus occupies an important spot in his discography. | 4 | | Jay Z and Kanye West Watch the Throne
I would say that this album "jams" more consistently, and is more fun to listen to on a base level, than any of Kanye's records. Most of the songs sound tailor-made for parties, clubs, or barbecues.
Lyrics are mostly materialistic and obnoxiously braggadocious, but that's by design. | 5 | | Kanye West 808s and Heartbreak
I think this album is kind of under-appreciated. It is Kanye's most intimate and personal record. It is refreshingly atmospheric and minimalist compared to the rest of his work, and the consistent Auto-Tune feels like both an impassioned defense of the vocal effect and a subtle middle finger to everyone who hates on it. | 6 | | Kanye West The College Dropout
Usually, when I listen to this album, I think about the nostalgia of listening to and loving this album when it came out.
It was an impressive debut, definitely. Unfortunately, it has not aged well. At this point, a lot of it sounds really dated and corny to me in the same way that most commercial rap in 2004 did, and I do think that Yeezy followed the trends of the time a little too closely on this album. | 7 | | Kanye West The Life of Pablo
The amount of time that it took to release this is not remotely justified by the final product.
There are neat production tricks here and there, but almost everything on this album sounds like an inferior version of something that he's done already. | 8 | | Kanye West Graduation
I have just never been able to jam to this at all.
Almost all of this album sounds like vapid nightclub or frat party type bullshit to me. | |

Read my description in the list. It's pretty self-explanatory.
Graduation is corny as fuck. |
