Albums I've Listened To This Week

These are the albums I've listened to this week, in the order that I listened to them. There are some great ones.
1Jedi Mind Tricks
The Psycho-Social

I love old school JMT, when they rapped about more broad and interesting subjects.
2The Contortionist
Exoplanet

This album was such a breath of fresh air. I'm glad these guys are the future of Progressive/Technical Death Metal.
3The Black Dahlia Murder
Unhallowed

The Black Dahlia Murder is completely unrelenting throughout this entire album, and it really set the tone for them.
4Make Them Suffer
Neverbloom

I had never heard Symphonic Deathcore before this, so it was a breath of fresh air, as well as being pretty good.
5Opeth
Orchid

Now I understand why everyone loves Opeth, because these guys are great!
6Arctic Monkeys
Whatever People Say I Am...

A little different than what I usually listen to, but by God this album was amazing! It's a personal favorite of mine already.
7Explosions In The Sky
How Strange, Innocence

This album has some great crescendos in it, as well as having that atmospheric greatness that every post-rock band needs.
8Structures
All Of The Above

These guys know how to play their instruments, that's for sure. Their sound is weird, but fun at the same time.
9The Faceless
Planetary Duality

The Faceless have some extremely well-thought-out songs on this record, but it's so darn short. If it was longer, it would be incredible.
10Iced Earth
Night of the Stormrider

This is Iced Earth back when they were thrashy, but you can see how they progressed into Power Metal from this album. Great stuff!
