Charbyno's Favourite Albums 2015

These are my top 5 albums from this year and my favourite song from each album. I am also looking forward to the new Baroness album

I have only heard the 2 singles that have been released from this album so far. It has the potential to pass Yellow & Green for me.
5Lamb of God
VII: Sturm und Drang

Lamb of God surprised my be putting out one of their best albums in recent memory. Randy's lyrics are my favourite thing on the album.

Favourite Track: 512
4Faith No More
Sol Invictus

Faith No More fans have been waiting forever for the band to put out a new record. This album is much better than Album of the Year, and this band can do no wrong in my book.

Favourite Track: Sunny Side Up
3Ghost (SWE)

One of the most anticipated albums of the year and it didn't disappoint. This is a big improvement from their previous album and I believe this is their magnum opus. Papa's vocals are still haunting. I am really looking forward to see where this this band goes next.

Favourite Track: Absolution
2Iron Maiden
The Book of Souls

Iron Maiden is my favourite band of all time and this was the album that I was most looking forward to this year. This is their most ambitious album of all time and its my favourite album since Seventh Son of a Seventh Son. I hope they play a lot of tracks off this album when I see them live in April. Empire of the Clouds is unlike anything I've ever heard before.

Favourite Track: Empire of the Clouds
1Steven Wilson
Hand. Cannot. Erase.

This album absolutely blew me away. I got into Steven Wilson's music once I heard his previous album The Raven That Refused To Sing. I really didn't expect Steven Wilson to top it and he did. This is my favourite Prog Rock album post 2000 for me.

Favourite Track: Routine
