Dick's Picks That I Own

a list of which grateful dead dick's picks I own, and what I think of each of them. For those of you that don't know, dick's picks is a series of bootleg recordings of live grateful dead shows remastered and released officially. Please recommend some more for me, considering that my favorite dead years are 1969 - 1974. I'd especially like a dick's picks that has an acoustic set, maybe from 1970. Don't know if any DP's like that exist. Have never really listened to anything they did in the 80's on.
1 The Grateful Dead
Dick's Picks volume 19 10/19/73

I can't get enough of the third disc... Dark Star > MLBJ > morning dew, and then the encore eyes of the world > stella blue are fantastic. This album is so relaxing. I love the caveat emptor on this release... "Despite a rather skeevey ouverture, the sound quality of this release quickly settles into a nice, warm groove. Listen closely, however, for you may just find that your mind will be blown by the music contained herein."
2 The Grateful Dead
Dick's Picks volume 14 11/30/73 and 12/2/73

This is a 4 cd set. It's pretty good, got some great jam tracks. I especially like the Playin' > jam > he's gone > truckin' > stella blue.
3 The Grateful Dead
Dick's Picks volume 16 11/8/69

The reason I got this three cd set was for discs 2 and 3... check this out. Dark Star > the other one > dark star > uncle john's band jam > dark star > st. stephen > the eleven > caution > the main ten > caution > feedback > we bid you goodnight.
that is amazing, and let me tell you why. The > symbol means that the band went from that song into the next one without stopping, transitioning from one straight into the other. this is a sequence of 12 songs that they played WITHOUT STOPPING ONCE! It takes up two cd's, almost two straight hours of non-stop playing. I love how they go in and out of dark star at the beginning, it's really unbelievable how the dead could put together a sequence like this live. Is this their longest suite? I'd love to know if there's one that is longer or includes more songs.
4 The Grateful Dead
Dick's Picks volume 12 6/26/74 and 6/28/74

I really dig this dick's picks. Most of them have a first cd which is full of shorter songs of which there are better versions. Still good to listen to for full context of the particular show. This volume however skips all that, and puts together two second sets of the dead's best. The jams on this volume are phenomenal, with a cool truckin' > other one jam > spanish jam > wharf rat on the first disc. one of the better spanish jams I've heard. a relatively rare seastones and ship of fools appear on disc 2 and 3. The third disc has a great weather report > jam. the jam is 25 minutes long and covers tons of ground, while staying in a great relaxing groove. I think this might have been the first show that sunshine daydream was broken off from the end of sugar magnolia.
