06.09.11 | The list would be... digs, of course. Loved all of them except the first one, which was all right... I wrote a review for it too. |

06.09.11 | none they suck trust me |

06.09.11 | No, you should get them. One of the biggest music influences on me as a drummer for sure.
if you like FOABP start with that and backtrack. other highlights from them that are easy to get into are In Absentia and Deadwing. both of those albums rule. but they honestly really havent put out anything bad ever. its just the early albums by them are more psychedelic influenced./ |

06.09.11 | fear of a blank planet is great place to start if your already digging that, then maybe Deadwing or In Absentia |

06.09.11 | In Absentia's their best. IMO they always overwrite their albums though - 10 minutes shorter and IA/Lightbulb Sun could be clasiscs. |

06.09.11 | Just listen to Trains. Best song ever. |
kangaroopoo
06.09.11 | FOABP, In Absentia + Deadwing my top 3 but plenty to like in their entire discog |

06.09.11 | no, Trains is, weren't you listening |

06.09.11 | Fear Of A Blank Planet, In Absentia and Deadwing are all really good and they all show the different sides of Porcupine Tree. |
Puzzles
06.09.11 | Awesome, what's the rest of their discog like? I've been listening to Fear Of A Blank Planet for a while now and I'm liking it so far. Way Out Of Here and the title track rule. |
nick77
06.09.11 | Try Nil Recurring. If you like FOABP then its in the same vein. The further you go back in their discog you go the more psychedelic they get.
Gavin Harrison was introduced for In Absentia and he's the man. |

06.09.11 | Just get everything. Deadwing and Stupid Dream are my personal favorites, but you can't go wrong with Fear of a Blank Planet, Lightbulb Sun, In Absentia, The Incident, Nil Recurring, Signify... |
Firestarter
06.09.11 | In absentia, then Deadwing and then FOABP. Personally I was never a big fan of FOABP, but Porcupine tree are probably in my top 5 favorite bands of all time. In absenture has some of their best songs but deadwing is more consistent. Just listen to 'Trains' or 'Blackest eyes' and you'll be hooked |

06.09.11 | I like In Absentia the most |
DrGunther
06.09.11 | Agree with all the praise for FoaBP (+ the EP), IA and Deadwing. Didn't think much of Stupid Dream or Lightbulb Sun, still to get round to the earlier stuff. |
MarvellousG
06.09.11 | In Absentia is the best starter album bar none imo. My favourites are FOABP, Deadwing and Lightbulb Sun, but In Absentia has the best combo of tracks to get you into them probably. |
Motiv3
06.09.11 | get In Absentia, Fear of a blank planet and Lightbulb Sun, then forget the rest. |
FadeToBlack
06.09.11 | their early stuff sucks the least but not of it's really worth it |

06.09.11 | In Absentia is a great intro to them, and it is the album that got me to fall in love with them in the first place. Right now, though, i'd say it's probably my 5th or 6th favorite PT album, so it has worn off me over time. Deadwing (my current favorite PT album), FOABP, Lightbulb Sun, and Stupid Dream are all highly recommended. |

06.09.11 | "get In Absentia, Fear of a blank planet and Lightbulb Sun, then forget the rest."
Ugh |

08.07.11 | You should also get Recordings and Signify. |
qwe3
08.07.11 | porcupine tree sucks pretty much except for The Sky Moves Sideways, Signify and a few songs from a few albums
In Absentia is pretty ok too prob the best way to get into them. try the songs "Blackest Eyes" (youll love this song) "Trains" (prob the best song he ever wrote) and "Prodigal" (pink floydish to the max but awesome) |
Sowing
08.07.11 | in absentia! |
scissorlocked
08.07.11 | in absentia and FoaBP are more easily digestible, but once you'd like them you'll be digging the real stuff like Signify or Stupid dream |
Voivod
08.07.11 | Start from Lightbulb Sun and go all the way up. |
