02.17.11 | tried to turn on my car last night after a flash freeze ('92 Accord so really old) and NOTHING happened. I think it's the battery. I know not as drastic as your situation but thought I'd mention it. |

02.17.11 | That sucks man. A while ago I tried to spare the life of a rabbit (never again, fuck them) and ended up sliding backwards in a field and just missed a tree. |

02.17.11 | 2003 at my senior prom. We had prom, an after-party, and then her parents made us breakfast when we got home at 4am. I finally left her house around 5am. I had about a 40 minute drive back from her house, mostly on back roads. I was really tired/nodding off the whole time. About 3 miles from the house I must have fallen asleep/nodded off. I don't remember *anything* besides driving back to her place but I know what happened from the account of others:
I fell asleep/nodded off at a bad spot: coming up on a hill with about a 60° right hand turn. Instead of turning, I went straight through the turn and hit a tree. Totaled the car. Shattered the glass in every window. Broke 2 ribs, had lots of blood on me and glass embedded in my face and arms. Got knocked out and had a nice concussion. After some time, I woke up, crawled out the broken window, and walked about a half mile to the next house off of this back road I had crashed on and knocked on the door. It was an old retired couple and the lady said she was terrified because some bruised and blooded and mumbling kid was on her doorstep haha. Her husband finally let me inside and after 10 minutes they were able to get my phone number out of me and they realized my parents were only a few miles away. Got taken by my parents to the hospital.
The first thing I remember after driving is waking up in the ER with an IV drip in. Scariest thing that's ever happened to me. |

02.17.11 | Jamie: Never mind all that, did you at least get a blowie off her? I would fucking hope so for all that pain.
My one would be coming out of a service station halfway through a 5 hour drive from London to Leeds. My mate in the passenger seat had just bought a porno mag, which as a 19 year old at the time could barely keep my eyes off. Until I looked up and was feet away from the car in front of me, with brake lights glaring, while I was doing about 90mph . Scary stuff, managed to slow down to about 30mph before ploughing into him, which wasn't too bad really. Car was a write off but at least no-one hurt.
Funniest bit of the story was a few weeks later when the other driver tried to claim loss of earnings for a few days of work, including the day "31st June 2001". Hmmm, I spy a scam.... |
