Jash's Top Ten/1000 Comments

It had been a while since i'd really thought about what albums really stood out from the rest in my life, so i made a list went through the whole thing comparing albums and making the list smaller until i got to the top ten. So here they are, in order of course (an order that took me a while to decide, cause this shit ain't no joke ya know). Also, this list will contain my 1000th comment on the site, so ill be expecting my Sputnik Elite badge in the mail anytime guys, thanks for the good times and good tunes sputnik.
10My Bloody Valentine
Loveless

This album is just so beautiful. Loveless is the portrait of an artist going insane,
Kevin Shields basically took it upon himself to do just about everything on
Loveless except Belinda's vocals. What came from that is one of the most bizarre unique and gorgeous records ever.
9Radiohead
Kid A

Radiohead's shining moment in my eyes, Kid A is the band hitting a level of
creativity that only they could achieve, flowing seamlessly through genre's
creating one hell of a perfect record.
8Off Minor
The Heat Death Of The Universe

ODB wishes he coulda been as raw as this
7Raekwon
Only Built 4 Cuban Linx... Pt II

Raekwon is my favorite rapper and this album was well worth the wait. From
the first to last cut the album is flawless, Raekwon's flow as smooth as ever
along with amazing guest appearances by the Wu affiliates and others.
6Bon Iver
For Emma, Forever Ago

The definitive break-up album, For Emma, Forever Ago is probly the saddest
album ever recorded. Justin Vernon puts all of his sadness, anger, and love into
the songs on this album. Ever lyric striking an emotional chord for me, this
album has helped me through some really bad times. Vernon is one of the most
amazing vocalists and his harmonies are beautiful and flawless.
5 Sigur Ros
Agaetis Byrjun

One of the most important bands and albums in my life. After hearing this i
went out and bought a chello bow and a brick of rosin just so i could play these
songs. Jonsi's vocals are just beyond amazing, and the vast soundscape created
by himself and the band is tear-jerking.
4Buddy Guy
Stone Crazy!

Buddy Guy is probly the best blues guitarist in the world as far as im concerned,
and if this album isnt proof then i dont know what it. His playing is so raw, so
emotion filled, and not to mention the man's got some pipes too. We've all got
the blues, Buddy Guy is just better at them
3City Of Caterpillar
City Of Caterpillar

The perfect mix of fast hardcore riffs with epic post-rock build up's, City Of
Caterpillar are fucking insane. A highlight in the history book of emo, this album
is a masterpiece of emotional music.
2Kayo Dot
Choirs Of The Eye

I wasn't until just a few weeks ago i really understood how brilliant this record
is. One of the most sprawling huge records i've heard, Toby Driver's masterpiece
is one of the most overwhelming albums ever.
1 Godspeed You! Black Emperor
F#A# Infinity

Godspeed are and will always be my favorite band. Nothing quite compares to
them for me and this album will always be my favorite of theirs, maybe of all
time. The first time i heard this record was my first trip to europe when i was
16, so i always be reminded of that trip when i listen to it. I really can't put how
i feel about this record into words, it just transcends everything else ive ever
heard.
