I Hate The Last Minute

So my buddies' vocalist dropped out for one of their gigs tomorrow and they need me to fill in. I love performing live almost as much as I love helping out friends, but I hate having to practice things last minute. Goddamnit. Second time in the same amount of months I've had to learn songs in a night! We'll only get about 10/20 mins before the gig to rehearse. Here's to hoping. List is digs that have recently blown my fragile little mind.
1Mamiffer
Hirror Enniffer

Whoa...just whoa. This album left me speechless on the first few listens. Definitely in my top 5 listens this year already, and that's saying something. Amazing album; Faith Coloccia may just be as talented as her hubby. They work extremely well together.
2Rosetta
Wake/Lift

I still prefer The Galilean Satellites, but Wake/Lift is nothing short of a masterpiece. Onlything missing is an ambient disc that actually syncs.
3 Godspeed You! Black Emperor
Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas to Heaven

Not exactly recent; got it beginning of September, but the album still rules. Near perfect post-rock. I especially love the monologue at the beginning of Sleep.
