I still need to get a Rishloo album
its a trap
The only band from Australia that I enjoy at the moment is Parkway Drive.
What? I'm a sucker for breakdowns!
Yeah, we do have a pretty awesome lineup for such a small country. And you haven't heard the local, virtually unknown bands yet. There are gems aplenty in that bunch as well.
I believe it. I wish I could visit and just go to small concerts lol.
Check out a band called 'Break Even' from perth. They aren't even that unknown.
You should also check out this mathcore/grind band from melbourne called "Jack the striper". They are pretty different compared to all of the other Australian hardcore/metalcore bands.
just listen to Extortion
only 2 Australian bands i'm familiar with are AC/DC are Violent Soho, the latter being an excellent unknown band.
Damn right it does.
Nah we don't.
and we have amazing death metal as well.
yeah we got the alt rock scene sorted
Australia does own! I dig 1,5,7, and 10. Pretty sure I would like 3 and 4 if I'd heard them, because I like/own some of their other albums.
I advise you to check out Atomship, a now-defunct band from my home state. They remind me of a mix between Cog and Chevelle. They released an album "The Crash of '47" in 2004 that reminds me of sounds from the early alt/prog rock scene in Australia. That album's got a few bleh-mainstream tracks on it, but more really awesome tracks like "Agent Orange" and "Mothra." The drummer is a beast.
i hope this list isn't all artists from australia, because I'm pretty sure August Burns Red is my home town of Lancaster, Pennsylvania
Nah dude, they be straight rockin' it from the Gold Coast
Australia has Carpathian and Portal. Probably others that I can't think of.
"List is other stuff I'm liking as well." It's not just Australia. And yea ABR is from Lancaster.
