Worst Albums By Bands I Love

The title pretty much describes it.... We all have our favorite bands... but we all also have our moments when we listen to the album and think "WTF ARE THEY DOING!?" This is a list of my "wtf" moments while listening to bands I love(d).
1Metallica
St. Anger

Does it really need one? After Load and Reload, I pretty much gave up hope.
But then there were always glimmers of hope during interviews during recording
which were along the lines of "Oh man its some heavy stuff. Think 'Battery'." SO I
DID. I expected Battery, Damage Inc.... thats not
what I received by any means.... Instead I got this.. atrocity. This horrible
excuse for a Metallica record. Even the album art was deceiving. "oh a big red
fist.. this MUST be heavy" thought 13 year old me. After the first initial listen of
Frantic... It was apparent something was very wrong..
2Cryptopsy
The Unspoken King

More breakdowns than ever earthly necessary. The riffs all start to sound similar
after awhile since they're all in the same basic formula. Vocals were NOT
Cryptopsy material for me. They jumped on the deathcore bandwagon and that
wagon is headed in the wrong direction fast.
3Bathory
Octagon

Quorthon was a genius. The man helped pioneer 2 different genres, but he
really dropped the ball on this one. Sure, its harsh sound and extreme lyrics
pack plenty of shock value. But most of the tunes are too chaotic, failing to
make any sort of a connection even after a good number of spins. In fact,
several of them are downright painful.
4In Flames
Soundtrack to Your Escape

I love In Flames' early stuff. Which self-respecting metal fan doesn't? My friend
introduced me to them with The Jester Race. I loved it. I found Whoracle I loved
it. I found Clayman, loved it a LITTLE less, but loved it nonetheless... then I
heard Reroute to Remain... wtf in Flames... YOU SOUND LIKE A MORE MELODIC
KORN. I miss the melodeath In Flames... what are you doing? Stop it... stop it.
So I figured "the fans will backlash; they'll get the idea that their longtime fans
dont like this style... right?" ...nope
5Sepultura
Against

Upon further listening, I've decided to replace "Roots" with THIS atrocity. Sorry
guys.. this was just the lowest of the low point in Sepultura's discography for
me. Honestly, I can't think of anyone that would choose this album over
ANYTHING else they've done. Idk maybe there are some out there that'd prove
me wrong. But I stand that everything after Chaos AD is completely sub-par
6Megadeth
Risk

Listen to it. That describes it pretty well I think.
7Judas Priest
Turbo

This album literally makes me laugh out loud its so bad. It doesn't even deserve
a "lol". I actually needed to spell out the acronym.
8Darkthrone
F.O.A.D.

Man did these guys fall from grace or what? I LOVED their ealier stuff.. But this
stuff was LAUGHABLY bad.
9Metallica
Load

So after discovering Metallica and their back catalog back in the day... I thought
Id move forward in their history. All of my friends told me to skip Load, I'd hate
it. Little naive me though "nooo i love metallica, i'll love everything they do." I
was wrong
10Annihilator
metal

This album makes me actually angry its so bad.
