The Ocean And The Sun Ranked
The 12 Tracks From TSOAF's newest album arranged from favorite to least favorite |
1 | The Sound Of Animals Fighting The Heraldic Beak Of The Manufacturer's Medallion
I really think this is the perfect song, a sick intro, intense drumming and the song has me hooked all the way to the end. |
2 | Another Leather Lung
This song is really relaxed and has eerie parts. A great build up also. |
3 | Cellophane
This song works like Another Leather lung and features an alto-sax solo and a rather proggy build up. |
4 | Blessings Be Yours Mister V
This song is very experimental and features some interesting parts and has some rather meaningful lyrics too. |
5 | The Ocean And The Sun
This song is really ominous sounding and has a great social commentary. |
6 | I, The Swan
This is a very calm track that i enjoy. Although not as much as the previous 5 tracks. It features a great bridge and angry wails from Anthony Green |
7 | On The Occasion Of Wet Snow
This song is beautiful and creepy at the same time, it features a variety of vocalists, and is just a treat to listen to. |
8 | Uzbekistan
Uzbekistan starts off a bit slow, but is one of the most unique songs on the record and have some good female vocals. This song includes a beautiful poem of some sort too that is spoken. |
9 | Lude
This song is just a beautiful instrumental guitar ballad. It is quiet and is a works as a nice break in the disc. |
10 | Ahab
A weird noise track with static sounds. An interesting interlude. |
11 | Chinese New Year
This song has a good beat but the children's vocals can be kind of grating. |
12 | Intro
This is a spoken word track. While the lady recites a beautiful poem (In The Desert), I feel like they could have added more to this track to keep the attention of listeners. |
