Best thing I ever ate was surprisingly a plate of poutine in Miami. Typical poutine, but fries were fried in duck fat, made the peas mushy (which I've been told is an Australian thing), gravy, cheese curds, and big hunks of foie gras. Was a little worried about the mushy peas, but holy fuck... |

11.07.19 | I'd probably go with a farmhouse ale or saison for that. can't go wrong with Saison Dupont. they're light in color and body, but flavorful in a funky/tart way and pair well with anything, but I think especially well with that dish |

11.07.19 | those should both be pretty easy to find at any store with a decent beer selection. if they have elite stuff I'd recommend Boulevard Saison-Brett, Brasserie Fantome Saison, Jolly Pumpkin Bam Biere, or any saison/farmhouse by Logsdon.
those are all very funky though. if you want something easy drinking with a similar flavor profile, try Weihenstephaner Vitus. oldest and probably bestest brewery in the world. |
