Mark, Anthony, and Margerette stopped just on the outskirts of the city. They gazed upon the alien craft, unable to delineate its features due to the amount of light it was giving off. It was almost like a second sun in the sky. Anthony climbed onto the tractor and noticed it was empty. "Hey dad do we have any gas?" he asked. He went towards the gas tank and opened it up, as he figured his dad would have some gas ready.

Anthony opened the gas cap and saw something strange. A violet glowing crystal. About a foot tall, surrounded by alien looking machinery. He gasped. "Dad, what exactly is all of this?" he asked. Mark wasn't paying attention. He was gazing intently at the craft hovering over the city. "Dad?" Anthony repeated. Mark looked over, but was interrupted by a large whooshing noise accompanied by a strong gust of wind that knocked them all off of their feet.

Strange Behavior

Mark stood up as quickly as possible. "Everyone get as far away from the tractor as you can!" He yelled. Anthony took off without hesitation. Margerette took a moment, almost as if she was in another world. She snapped out of it, and took off in the other direction of Anthony. Mark ran towards the tractor. Jumped in the pilot's seat and grabbed his satchel. He got out and ran towards the gas cap, where he discovered it was open. "FUCK!" he exclaimed, about to lose his temper.

He reached into his satchel and pulled out a large jar, contained a thick, blue liquid. He poured it all on the crystal. That very moment the crystal started to glow intensely, you could feel the energy pulsating from it. He got into the pilot's seat of the tractor again and opened up a secret panel on his dashboard. Containing buttons and dials that resembled the machinery surrounding the crystal. He flipped a few switches and a blue shield come up, just in time to block an explosion directly over the tractor. He flipped the switches off.

He looked over at Anthony and Margerette, happy to see them safe. As he was climbing out of the tractor he heard another explosion, this time directly over Margerette. He panicked and quickly ran over. However he stopped in his tracks. As the smoke cleared he saw her, perfectly safe and okay. At first he was beyond relieved, then a wave of anxiety ran through him. "Oh no" He said "Oh no what?" She asked Before he could answer Anthony came running over. "Dad what was that inside the tractor? What is going on?" He asked. Mark's mind was racing. What should he tell them? Should he lie? Instead he put his head down and solemnly said, "Get to the tractor" and walked away.
