06.20.16 | "Kyrie hit the most cold blooded shot in the history of the NBA."
please kid.....
but that was a great great game, not so great series though. I've always liked lebron and it's good too see the public acknowledge his greatness too but kyrie was making some absolute circus layups in that game topped off by that 3. the warriors got sooooo many offensive rebounds the last two games I'm surprised the Cavs stayed in it. I think the warriors got one dimensional at the end and you could see that Cleveland was manipulating match-ups with the warriors defensive switching to get what they wanted but the warriors wouldn't change their scheme. As soon as they switched thompson 6'10 ass with curry's 6'3 ass on that last play, kyrie's mind was made up and he drilled that shot. |
AlexKzillion
06.20.16 | Yeah Steph Curry was getting bitched when the Warriors were on defense throughout that entire series, especially by Lebron. |

Iirc, Kerr also didn't manage his team's fouls correctly. Towards the end of the 4th quarter, his team had fouls to give which you don't do normally in a close game because you want to have the ability to send your opponent to the line if/when it's needed. |

06.20.16 | Not trying to defend Kerr but just for the sake of the discussion, if Bogut doesn't get injured, the Warriors have a legitimate enforcer who gets rebounds, blocks shots and doesn't get exposed every time like Ezeli. Also, with Iggy 100% and no back issues, they have a Lebron stopper (as much as possible). Finally, Barnes chocked like hell and it'll be a travesty if he gets a max contract this summer.

What makes absolutely no sense is Lebron trying to take credit for "making history" bro you didn't show up for the first 4'games and went down 1-3, that's your fault, it's not impressive you got yourself out of a situation you put yourself into.
He clearly was dominant in those last three games but everyone is freaking out over him beating an injured team w no bigman (not to mention no Green in game 5 and Iguodala hurt game 6 and 7)

06.21.16 | Also, not defending a lot of Cleveland fans, but Lebron leaving was a HUGE deal (unfair to Lebron, but also holy shit did you have to televise it?) because he legitimately represented hope to the city. A lot of people in Ohio have legitimately nothing to look forward to, and even though our teams are consistently shit/mediocre, sports are the only thing that breathes life into the people. It's super sad, but it's a reality. Lebron leaving felt way more of a big deal than it should have been. I moved to LA almost five years ago, and all people can talk about back home is Cleveland sports, and they are genuinely LOYAL. Not to people necessarily, but to the teams themselves. That's why something like him leaving and coming back can get two opposite reactions and it not be necessarily flaky fandom, imo. I'm just happy the city got its championship finally. |

06.21.16 | "Lebron gonna go down as a top 5 player ever" according to who? ESPN and Nike?
Anyone who thinks Lebron > Kobe is an as absurd. makes me wonder if you were even old enough to watch kobes career. Kobe was a dominant player that went 110 percent every single play. Lebron takes off the entire game, maybe defends for one quarter. Not to mention Lebron regularly "rests" in the regular season, shameful shit Kobe never did.
Oh then there's the flopping. You're "goat" player seemingly can't do anything but flail his arms in the air and act like he got hit - it's literally his go to offense.
Then there's the fact that if anyone touches Lebron it's a foul when Bruce Bowen was grabbing Kobe every play etc etc
Kids these days just have no idea how big of a show the modern NBA is. They changed every rule they could for Lebron and he still only has 3 rings (should have two of day Allen didn't bail him out) and he got 2 of those on the most stacked roster in NBA history. This year he was toast if he didn't have Kyrie l, who was the real MVP (let's not forget Lebron padding his stats in game 1 and 2 when the game was over)
He's so overrated it's not even funny. He finally had a good year, he finally actually won without predictably choking in the clutch (he still choked and got bailed out by Kyrie).
Now he's the goat? Haha no. He might be the best player of this ridiculous generation of no-touchy basketball where we reward stars for how much they flop and complain, but put Lebron in the 90s and he'd probably need to rest half the season.
Oh and as for the "loyal" Cleveland fans that were just burning his jersey, y'all are a joke. If the Cavs had to play the thunder, Spurs or clippers they probably woulda got bounced, the eastern conference is an absolute joke and that's why queen James stayed there, not because he loves the town that he just abandoned 4 years ago til the heat roster got injured-
they just had a great matchup in this series and we're lucky Bogut, Iguodala and all missed games.
I honestly wanna know how many NBA games Lebron James stans have even watched this year. Every time you hear "Lebron>Kobe" it invariably comes from someone who only watched the NBA finals. |

Horry wasn't a star player on his team. He got 3 rings by being carried by Kobe. You're clearly not understanding the logic I'm using to judge Kobe and Lebron. By the second time Kobe won a ring he averaged 1 less point than shaq. Kobe has 4 rings where he carried at least half the load, Lebron got his first this year.
I don't expect to convince people who watch ESPN every day. You're basically just saying "omg lambs disagrees with what I heard someone on ESPN say"
You can argue Pippen is better than Kobe, not Horry. Basketball ranking take nuance, anyone who puts Lebron ahead of Kobe while ignoring his flopping, traveling, ticky-tack calls of the modern NBA and ring chasing has no sense of nuance - just stat repeaters who get mad when their superficial opinion is met with reason and evidence. |

06.23.16 | It's actually comical how Lebron picks up the ball near half court, takes four steps and barrels his shoulder into the defender, flings his head back and gets an and1, only to miss the free throw - a shot most children can make.
This is who people think is the greatest basketball player of all time, ok... |

yep those other 2 finals mvps he won were just because of the mass espn/nike/mcdonald's conspiracy. chris bosh was robbed man. and saying kobe carried half the load on those 2000-2002 teams is really ignoring all the other guys contributions.
"You can argue Pippen is better than Kobe"
you'd be an idiot to try though. pippen wasn't anywhere close to kobe's level. that's why ring counting only goes so far when comparing players.

not really a contest....guy does it all |
LambsBread
06.23.16 | Let's not forget Lebron choked in the finals against the Spurs and was bailed out by chris bosh and Ray Allen.
When they beat the thunder, Wade was a beast, he already won a ring without Lebron in 2006.
So one year he shouldn't of even won a ring.
And the other he had full strength bosh and Wade, not to mention Haslem, Battier (the best role players in league) on most stacked NBA roster in history.
He might of been the best player on the heat, but he never carried over half the load. Kobe and shaq was its Kobe and shaq. The rest of their roster sucked, Derek fisher and Robert Horry, Rick fox were all trash.
Then Kobe won with fuckin pau gasol who never did anything elsewhere without Kobe |
LambsBread
06.23.16 | You're ignoring that the eastern conference has been awful in the last decade and a half. Kobe and MJ had way harder roads to the finals.
Some, but not all, rule changes were in place for Kobe. MJ played with hardest rules (handchecking), Kobe played with moderate anti-offense/pro-defense rules, Lebron plays in no-touchy era of basketball that is making the sport look like soccer. |
dathvada321
06.23.16 | So many things you just said are wrong. Those heat rosters were far from the most stacked in history. They couldn't rebound or defend post players. Wade had knee issues in both of Miami's title runs, especially the second one. 2011 was the only year he was in his prime with Bron. Haslem and Battier were old as shit during those title runs. Definitely not the best role players in the leage. Come on man. |

you do realize shaquille o'neal existed right?
"And the other he had full strength bosh and Wade, not to mention Haslem, Battier (the best role players in league) on most stacked NBA roster in history."
a gross overstatement if there ever was one. let's not forget the kobe-shaq-malone-payton lakers of '04.
"Derek fisher and Robert Horry, Rick fox were all trash."

Boston has the Celtics and the Red Sox, not to mention the Nee England Patriots. The city literally always has at least one team in contention for a title every year. |
braspberries
07.04.16 | Celtics have: a great coach; a bunch of young and talented two-way guys, but no real dominant superstar; a shit ton of future/potential draft picks, plus those young guys, both of which can be turned into current stars via trades, to build around KD.
Plus they're in the east, which has more parity than the West, but is so much weaker at the top. So KD would have a way easier road to the ECF/NBA finals. Cleveland would be the only real roadblock.
I would've hated it, but it would've been something. |

manosg
07.04.16 | 20 mil. for Barnes is a joke but the Mavs have historically been one of the worst teams in free agency; I can't remember the last time they signed the superstar they wanted.
The Grizzlies' contracts are also laughable this year. 30 mil for Conley and 24 for Parsons who are both injured! |
danielcardoso
07.04.16 | As big as it is, at the very least conley's contract i can understand, the guy's a proven talent who has just been going through a tough injury period. But i wouldn't pay half of what they paid for parsons, i mean come on. |

Isiah Thomas is a superstar bro...
Every time a "superteam" is made people freak out while forgetting there is only one ball. KD couldn't even share the ball with one other star. Him, Curry and Thompson are all high volume shooters... they are not going to be as effective. Obviously they are the team to beat, but they lost a lot of depth and size with this move, wouldn't surprise me if San Antonio beat them in playoffs, they are going to get pounded on offensive glass. |

07.05.16 | Antwan Jamison, Mo Williams, Shaq, Verejao, Telfair, Delonte West and Illgalskus. These are all solid players, regardless of the fact that they weren't all in their prime in 2009. The 2015-16 Thunder are not much better minus Westbrook.
The real problem for the 09 Cavs was Lebron was too busy being a melodramatic diva and sulking, and he couldn't even beat the mediocre Orlando Magic who got owned by Kobe's lakers. Lebron had no jumpshot or halfcourt game at this point in his career, he fleed to Miami and got 2 rings on the most stacked roster ever. Even this year, Kyrie Irving was arguably the MVP. Kobe didn't get carried anymore than Lebron did. If Lebron doesn't get 5 rings before retiring.

07.10.16 | Tell me where you live, and buy me a plane ticket. If you win 2/3 Games to 21 I'll give you 5K( or however much your broke ass can afford) and pay for plane ticket. If I win you owe me 10k and plane ticket is on you. Tell me a popular public place to meet so I know you aren't a rapist (I'm honestly concerned).
Also I want you to post a piciture of yourself to this thread so I know you don't get one of your friends from college team to play me.
You can pick whatever third party site you want to deal with the money as long as it's mainstream and reputable.
