theBoneyKing 07.11.15	Essentially, in an attempt to coordinate hype for new music worldwide and also to prevent the use of illegal uploads because of the various release dates, over a thousand record worldwide record companies have agreed to shift their standard release date to Friday. theBoneyKing 07.11.15	"you say this as if it affects you some type of way." I am not sure how I feel about the impacts it may have on the music industry. As I said there have been concerns about how this will affect niche music (as it may fall more under the radar with increased hype for major releases. Further, the shift to Friday will likely impact mom & pop type music stores since they'll lose the business Tuesday releases brought them.
joshuahuntkc 07.11.15	I hate it just because for years I've looked forward to Tuesdays because I can get up in the morning and hit up the local record stores to pick up whichever new release I desire any given week. Friday mornings just kinda suck for that kind of thing because it's late in the week and I usually go see new movies Friday mornings so not a fan. It just seems weird because Tuesday releases have become part of my routine.

Tunaboy45 07.11.15	Funny because I was just thinking about that today, I'll get used to it but I always liked having an album release at the start of the week. This is all because they moved the charts from Sunday to Friday, right? (assuming you're in the UK)
theBoneyKing 07.11.15	I'm not in the UK, but I don't think that is why it was done. If anything the charts were moved because of the change in the album releases, not vice versa. The release day change was apparently planned early this year but not implemented until now.
Tunaboy45 07.11.15	Either way it's not going to change my buying patterns, but it was nice to have something to soften the blow of a painful monday/tuesday.
Tunaboy45 07.11.15	I'll probably pick the new Cradle Of Filth up next week because it sounds like it'll be their best album in a long, long time
