Our military gives you access to all kinds of education, from getting people without the necessary requirements into subjects like medicine to funding courses. They also pay for your lodging if they require you to move somewhere else. They get about 1-2+ months of vacation per year and all kinds of other benefits and bonuses. (like if you work on a day you'd have off/where nobody else wants to work guard shifts you'll get double wage) So.. yeah.

What I'm saying is that if joining the army doesn't come with hefty benefits then what's the fucking point? You're basically giving up some of your basic rights and probably a shitload of time.

Calc 08.22.14	ignore these dummies who have no idea what they are complaining about, the military is a great employer with a shit load of benefits if you take the time to use them. there's a lot of bullshit to put up with but if you pick the right specialty (something you like and will translate well to civilian life) and carry that beyond retirement you can easily be drawing two retirements at some point in your life.

Hyperion1001 08.22.14	yeah the US military takes care of it's servicemen (as it should, being one of the largest institutions in the world). youll get an education and be basically guaranteed a middle class lifestyle youre whole life. the military isnt for everyone, but its certainly not a bad choice if your the right type of person for it.
