08.14.14 | Futures: that same 180 plot twist has been done to death, and there are so many blatant signs from his conversations with people to dreams of his past. I definitely agree about moon though. I likened it to space odyssey and got flamed to hell. |
menawati
08.14.14 | "I likened it to space odyssey and got flamed to hell."
well it's got the same sort of bleak and claustrophobic feel as 2001 so i can see where you are coming from |
titanslayer
08.14.14 | New planet of the apes was really cool and I like edge of tomorrow. I haven't really seen a good horror movie or comedy in a while though which really sucks |
Torontonian

08.14.14 | Predator |
DikkoZinner
08.14.14 | ^ One of the best lines ever in cinema delivered by Jesse Ventura. |
Froot
08.14.14 | Yeah the screenplay is amazing. Every single character is charming in their own right, and really let you get to love them before the inevitable happens and leave a more lasting impression as a whole when they're gone.
What I love the most about it is how it initially presents itself as a standard Ahnold action movie affair with guns and biceps and explosions and whatnot, but once the Predator enters the plot, shit gets turned on its head and suddenly these characters who we thought were invincible are now fighting for their lives with every ounce of their being. The ending as well I think is one of the bleakest and most provoking moments I've ever seen, again, considering this film starts as an archetypal blockbuster action flick. It just inverts so many tropes it's astounding, and definitely my favourite movie ever. |
DikkoZinner
08.14.14 | Dude, well said. |
