Spreading Your Wings

My good friend has just started to pick up bass guitar for the first time and rlearn some music theory. It really reminds me of how it feels to first be rexposed to the art and science that goes into making music. IN THE rCOMMENTS, please share what your first song that you played was or what ralbum you loved when starting to play music. GO!
1Kevin Max
Stereotype Be

The first album I ever REALLY listened to. Still my all-time favorite. Means a lot to me.
2The Chariot
The Fiancee

Freshman year of high school. Never heard anything like it.
Liberate Te Ex Inferis

Best metalcore album probably. Showed me just how unique the genre can be.
4The World Is a Beautiful Place And...

My first introduction into the new wave of emo. Beautimous.
5Jimmy Eat World
Bleed American

I wanted to pick up guitar after listening to this. I did, and it did NOT work out.

Showed me the beautiful side of black metal, an otherwise ugly genre (and I mean that in the best way possible).
Jane Doe

Insane, mathy metalcore that rocked my socks off. It really does deserve all the praise that it gets. Well, most of it.
