Songs For A Lonesome Friday Night

This is almost a kind of shuffle list but I skip the songs that ain't for a lonesome friday night y'know. I'm gettin' OC sprayed tomorrow for police academy and I'm scared. and jesus christ i just realized i use the list feature as annoying and pointless facebooks. my god i'm pathetic.
1Guy Clark
The Essential Guy Clark

"Don't Let the Sunshine Fool Ya" - i prefer townes van zandt's cover but just by a hair
2Gary Stewart
The Essential

"She's Actin' Single (I'm Drinkin' Doubles)" - this is one of the greatest country songs ever made. I'm particularly fond of these lyrics: "I'm not weak, I tell myself / I stay because I'm strong / The truth is, I'm not man enough / To stop her from doing me wrong"
3Damien Jurado
Caught in the Trees

"Gillian was a Horse"
4Karate
Pockets

"Tow Truck"
5Commander Cody & His Lost Planet Airmen
Lost in the Ozone

"Seeds and Stems (Again)"
6Drunk
Raised Toward

"A Mere Passer-by" - you slowcore freaks hae gotta check this out it's pretty slow and core and good plus they do a good semi-cover of the townes van zandt song "rake"
7Those Darlins
Wild One

"Drivin' Nails in my Coffin"
8Beulah
Yoko

Your Mother Loves You Son
9Unrest
Imperial ffrr

"I Do Believe You Are Blushing"
10Come
Don't Ask Don't Tell

"Yr Reign" - first time I've ever listened to this band and I tell you what this owns pretty hard. They spell 'your' the same way sonic youth does and i mean they sorta bare some resemblence to sy.
11Joe Henry
Scar

"Nico Lost One Small Buddha"
12Richard Buckner
Bloomed

"Rainsquall"
13 Beau Jocque and The Zydeco Hi-Rollers
Pick Up on This!

"Pick Up On This" - zydeco bitches
14 Tim Hardin
20th Century Masters - The Millennium Collection: The Best of Tim Hardin

"Black Sheep Boy" - so any of yuze seeen 'killing them softly' yet? If i ain't got burnin' eyes i'll see it saturday, can't wait, man.
15The Middle East
The Recordings of The Middle East

"The Fall of Man" - I wish this band were called the middle earth. for y'know cross promotion with that hobbit moovie comin' out real soon.
