11.13.12 | I'd say Ziggy Stardust is a good starting point. that's the most highly regarded of the glam rock albums. if you dig that you can check Aladdin Sane and Diamond Dogs.
Station to Station was during his soul period and that rules hard.
Low and Heroes was where he dived into electronic and ambient stuff with Eno. both essential imo.
Hunky Dory is awesome too for early era Bowie. you can't really go wrong with Bowie in the 70s. I'm only missing Pin Ups. Scary Monsters is worth a look too. |

11.13.12 | Get Hunky Dory and Ziggy first! I have Hunky, Ziggy, Aladdin, Station, Low and they all rule.
Check out Tom 93M's Bowie discog reviews on here, he really knows his stuff. |

11.13.12 | Ziggy - glam rock
Low - art rock, electronic
Young Americans - soul
Station to Station is hard to categorise. Hunky Dory is pop I guess, but really great. |
