08.16.12 | My hard drive is full so Ive been slowin down yeah.
Listening to music isnt a race or some ego thing. No matter how much music you have there will always be thousands of albums you havent heard yet. Sometimes I have to remind myself to just appreciate what I have for a while. I cant enjoy what I got if Im listening to 10 new albums a day. |

08.16.12 | Speaking of hard drives being full what do you guys who obviously listen to boat loads of music do about that? I have an external and can store music there but I cant listen to it on my computer or sync to my iPod then. Whenever I click on the song in my external it adds it to iTunes again, and I have no room left. First world problem here. |
omnipanzer
08.16.12 | I use an external drive at work and I've never had that problem. You must be causing it to give it a different drive letter each time. |
omnipanzer
08.16.12 | Also... get a bigger drive.
A good 2tb drive is like $90 now. |
YankeeDudel
08.16.12 | So you just listen straight from your external without the songs going to iTunes/the computer? I just have no space for the songs to go.
Im on a 5-ish year old macbook. A new hard drive is prob the way to go then if its only 90 bones though. |

This is me for the last half-year |

well that's for a bare internal drive but you can get external for a little more. I don't remember how to assign a drive letter in OSX I'm afraid. If you plug the drive into the laptop before starting it up it should get the same drive letter every time.
yes from drive strait through itunes. |

08.16.12 | "Do you ever feel like you have enough music, and stop and just listen to what you have for a while?"
Yes, it comes in waves and then there are the ones that are permanently in my playlist for when I have batches of all bad albums and need to cleanse my palate. |
Maniac!
08.16.12 | I need to get my goddamn drive replaced.
... I almost don't care and want to go to a store and buy a new one. $140 is a lot to lose, though. |
omnipanzer
08.16.12 | ... they still haven't sent the replacement? |
Maniac!
08.16.12 | I still haven't gotten a chance to send it off.
I had issues with their claims system for a month, and now I just haven't been able to get it out to UPS... Which they're making me pay for. |

ProfessorVeerappan
08.17.12 | 1 3 and 10
are the real intense albums that should not be forgotten
but indeed where there is music there has to be more music to like and hear and experience
music is something for sure which will never ending process 10 artists will keeping coming with something or the other intense enough to get 1self into it
but yeah not to get confused or piled up should hear albums in a continuous ish process as to keep the music buds burning and moving good ., |
YankeeDudel
08.17.12 | There comes a point where its like "do I REALLY need another (whatever genre) album?" I try if I can to find music that is unique in some way. That mixes up influences and/or has its own style. Unless its just *really* good without being terribly original there should be something about the band that makes them stand out to me. Some people dont care about that, but I dont need 300 bands that sound the same. Im the kinda guy that likes to try everything once. Now obviously I have more than 1 band from each genre but Im trying to mix it up as much as I can to keep things fresh. |

08.17.12 | #1 is great. #10 is amazing. i'd try act 1 and 2 before listening to #2 |
BlueW
08.17.12 | Last year I had +1700 artists in my last.fm library and then I reseted and for almost 6 months I only 280 something. So I guess I'm only listening to very few of what I actually have. |
minty901
08.17.12 | the problem with this website is i'm constantly looking at and looking for new music. so i end up buying new music before having time to properly digest the music i bought the week before. so i end up with 100 albums i'm semi-familiar with rather than 20 albums that mean a lot to me. i say to myself i won't buy any new albums for a month or two but that never happens. my itunes is full of awesome albums i really should spend more time with; but then it's always cool when you discover an album you bought over a year ago is actually amazing and you never gave it enough time when you got it. |

08.17.12 | unless you're on Mac lol fail itunes |
