hide (born Hideto Matsumoto) was a guitarist and musician from Japan. hide's career started in 1980 when he joined his first
major music project in 1984 with Saver(Saber) Tiger. The band split in 1987, and that is when hide made his breakthrough as an
artist when he joined the highly influential metal band X-Japan. When the band took a hiatus, hide used the time to embark on

one night. His third solo album, "Ja Zoo", was finally released months later, which (because of hide's tragic suicide) peaked at
number 1 on the Oricon charts. His legacy still remains today, and he is arguably one of the most important artists in visual kei
