Lee Morgan
Jazz

Lee Morgan was a jazz trumpet player most prominent from the mid 1950's through the 1960's. He started as a member of Art Blakey's Jazz Messengers but subsequently struggled off and on with drug addiction for the rest of his career. He was shot and killed by his girlfriend in 1972 following a dispute involving a drug dealer, his girlfriend and another woman.
