  • rasputin oh man, if it's 12 bucks the supporting bands dont even matter =P i'm over in perth, the city that all good international bands like to avoid. i was in contact with ignivomous after i reviewed death transmutation though, begging them to come do a show here. they prob won't though =(

  • thebhoy been meaning to check out Hiromi, Medeski Martin and Wood are okay, but they're like Pat Metheny's stuff for me, kinda like mood music. I need to be in a certain frame of mind to listen to them. Also, I think you need to listen to Do Make Say Think. Go in this order: Winter Hymn Country Hymn Secret Hymn; You, You're a History in Rust; Other Truths;

  • thebhoy I feel like Oscar Peterson (whom I'm sure you are familiar with anyways), Brad Mahldau and Dave Holland would be up your ally. Especially check out Peterson's Night Train, Mahldau's album he did with Pat Metheny and either What Goes Around or the Conference of the Birds album by Dave Holland. You might be interested in some Chicago Underground Quartet. The cornet can get much with them, but they have a cool sound.
