Jimmy Eat World: Jim Adkins (guitar, vocals), Rick Burch (bass), Zach Lind (drums), Tom Linton (guitar, vocals).Emerging from a Metallica-cover-band, JeW formed in 1993 in Mesa, Arizona. After their self-titled debut in 1994 and several EPs and splitalbums, they released 'Static Prevails' in 1996. InJune 1999 'Clarity' was released, but as with the previous album, the label refused to release it anywhere outside the USA. 'Bleed American' was the turning point for theband, receiving massive radio and televisionplay, particularly the radio-friendly single, 'The Middle'.
